4/13 - Knicks at Cs

Not bloody likely.
But the Cs and Knicks do have a game tonight and said game will give the bench guys another chance at extended minutes and the chance to develop a little cohesion as a group.
One request, Doc: Please don't play Glen Davis huge minutes once again. The guy is a virtual starter and isn't exactly svelte. Other than that, knock yourself out.

It was difficult to watch the Miami game. Very disappointing. The cold hard fact remains, though... they beat Miami three out of four. It's not like Miami is a difficult place to play on the road, so I don't sweat them having home court advantage. Yes, relying on Shaqtus is a gamble, but that's the gamble Danny made. We're going to have to hope the old fella has another 25 game run in that big body of his. I'm one of those that thinks he does. The C's have looked flat and disinterested. However, it's a long, tedious season and they're just grinding it out. This nucleus has proven to be a handful for teams in the playoffs, so that's what I'm banking on. Shaqtus and JO are key. If they show up, I like our chances. Loved the JO foul on Lebron in the Miami game, for instance. Make guys pay. If Rose tries his typical fly-into-the-lane-and-draw-contact crap, JO and Shaq will flatten him and he'll be less likely to try that junk again.
I'm living in the now with this club. I love Pierce. Love KG. Love Ray and Rajon. Love Doc. Love Baby. Love Shaq. I'm going to watch them load up and make a run. I can't believe how pessimistic some people are being. Danny turned over half the roster overnight, so there have been growing pains. But did you see JO against Washington? 38 dominant minutes with a double-double and 5 blocks. Add Shaq to the mix and the C's suddenly go from weak-as-shit in the middle to stout-as-fuck. I was skeptical about JO's knees, but that 38 minute performance was extremely encouraging. Danny made a huge gamble trading Perk, but if both O'Neals can make it through the playoffs I'm telling you... I LIKE OUR CHANCES!
People are worried about Delonte, for good reason. He's made of glass. Thankfully the NBA drags the first round out for 2 weeks, so he'll have time to get healthy for the Miami series. Delonte will be ready by the second round, and Arroyo can spell Rondo in a pinch for 10 minutes a game. The Knicks can't defend, Rondo will shred Billups, and the C's will crush them in 5 or 6 games, at worst. Playoff Rondo is a joy to watch, nobody cranks up their game better in the postseason than Rajon. I'm telling you... I LIKE OUR CHANCES!

Yes, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about the recent Celtics struggles. However, I also remember the 27-27 finish last year. These guys know how to ratchet it up in the playoffs, and this year's KG is better than last year's KG. The C's are going to be a tough out. I'm telling you... I still like their chances!

How did Green's dunk pop back out? Bounce off his head?
Yup. But clearly went completely through the basket, so I think it should have counted.

He is making a late bid to not play the worst season in Celtic history. Still a long way to go to avoid that distinction

Loving the extended Bradley run?
Edit: what's his career high? 10's gotta be close.
He's at least doubled it. Mike said it was a new career high when he had 6.

Get used to it. D'Antoni is ass and his teams can't defend. C's will have an easy time of it.Third team is shooting the lights out.

Murphy needs a nickname. He looks like a cross between the Scrubs janitor, Lurch from the Munsters, and Mombo (?) From Blazing Saddles.
I don't know why, but Murphy just reminds me of Beaky Buzzard of Looney Tunes fame...

I probably sound like an entitled little bitch, and this game means nothing, but it's nice to see a Boston team win for fuck's sake
Considering I feel the same exact way, I think you're being completely rational.

Just woke up and shocked to see the box score... Did the scrubs play that good or do the Knicks just suck? Or something else?
Meaningless game. I assume it means the C's bench is better than the Knicks.
Just check the Miami game: Eddie House scored 35 points? And with an incredibly pure stat line also. No rebounds, 1 assist, no FT's. And he only made 7 3's.

True, the entire game was extended garbage time, but I think we got a glimpse into why Danny chose this kid at 19. Maybe, just maybe, he's something more than a defender.

the Cs won their last game... so I think Theo is entitled to start the Game 1 thread. From there, do we go longest win streak?
