We still don't have a game thread and I'm venturing into Newark tonight.

Between the "pesky Nets" (per Paul Pierce) keeping it close the last time these two teams played in Boston and the low minutes logged by the starters last night, this shouldn't be a trap game or a classic tired second half of a back-to-back.

So no excuses, Celtics, rip their tits off.

Godspeed venturing into Brick City. Let me know what you think of the Devils building.

Damn, I get my first game thread win (I was a career 0-1) and then miss getting the follow up in on time. Well I screwed up the standings yesterday and we still got the win so once again Celts do as I say not as I do and take care of business. I was a little concerned that New Jersey had won 4 in a row but then I saw the best team they have beat is Golden State so.... no excuses.

It's early, but at least half the fans here are Celtics fans. Is this common?

Godspeed, Theo. Don't let Cory Booker ban you from New Jersey like Conan O'Brien.

No. There are usually way more Celtics fans.

I'm hoping the Deron challenge knocks Rondo out of his funk.

I just tuned in, but there's absolutely no ball movement whatsoever so far. Has this been the case the whole quarter?

Rondo seemed up for it early on, but he's played like garbage since being leveled by that pick.

He really seems to be running harder and competing better on the boards than I remember. The new team has rejuvenated him. Good thing too, because a lot of other people are slumping.

Why exactly did Miami think the corpse of Mike Bibby was a better bet than Carlos Arroyo?

The best news about Rondo's play the last few weeks is that it's impossible for him to continue playing this badly.

How blind are these refs, this is insane!

What was that ref motioning as to why it was not a goaltend? He just kept pressing the air with his hand like he was pushing something in front of his face. Never seen that before.

Interesting on their first shift BBD and Green both entered the game and left the game together. Does Baby have to fight for his spot on the floor at the end of the game or is it still his?

Weren't both those guys standing in the circle, or is there some exception I'm forgetting about that makes that an offensive foul?

That rule is only for players driving from outside. If you get the ball inside, the rule no longer exists. You can't just run through someone under the basket if you have the ball in the post down there to begin with.

Welp. Hold the opponent in the 30s in a half again but scoring some baskets might help.

Wouldnt be surprised if it's partially him sulking from playing so terribly. I didn't see the injury, but I would be shocked if he hurt it as bad as he did in the Knicks game earlier in the year. And he came back in that one. Will be interesting to see if he comes back in this one.

Edit: And he's back. Nevermind

I'm officially concerned about Rondo's funk. It's one thing when a player goes in a shooting slump, that happens to everyone, he seems to just be overall shitty now for weeks. I'd like to think he'll pull out for the playoffs because we NEED him in the playoffs. Especially if he has a matchup with Rose.

Ed Lacerte, please say Rondo's ankle is in danger of serious injury so he has to sit the rest of the game.

7 points, 8 assists, 3 turnovers and 37% FG % the last 5 games.

Green has been screwed by the refs in this game. 2 goaltendings not called, and then blatantly hacked down low with no call there.

Terrible call against Rondo there as well. Tommy is going to have a heart attack if these FT numbers dont even up a little bit.
