86 game six was worse than this.Probably the worst loss in the history of sports.

Pats definitely not ready for prime time. You'll have to root for the Packers now.

Defense was awful. Brady was bad, but the defense was dominated.
I don't know how anyone can say that. The Jets had tremendous field position all game long. They allowed just one long scoring drive, and that TD was the result of an unbelievable catch by Holmes.
They played ok on D. The offense and coaching staff screwed the Pats tonight.

Nothing is worse than that Super Bowl loss, I assume you're not a Pats fan.
This is awful though, no doubt.
Yeah, I guess. For me, the Super Bowl was a game the Pats played ok but just got beat---they played two games vs Giants and both were absolute battles. It hurt to lose, but they acquitted themselves pretty well I thought.
This game is like the Denver loss in, what, 05 season? Pats looked like the better team in the abstract, but played a poor game, executed like crap, and coaching-wise didn't show enough to change up. For me, those are almost tougher to take
The Indy game where Reche fucking Caldwell dropped the TD and there was the furious comback of 21 is up there for me, too. Blown execution, tough calls, bizarre meltdown.
I guess what it comes down to for me is that getting beat where it seems like there were 'mistakes' or mental things is harder than when you get physically beat

5 plays, 49 yds
4 plays, 37 yds
5 plays, 75 yds
2 plays, 20 yds
Three TD drives that started inside NE territory. VERY hard to blame the defense for that.

I can't believe I might find myself rooting for the Date Rapist next week.
I think the Steelers will beat up the Jets next week. Of course, I thought that would happen to the Jets this week too.
But if the Jets knock off Indy, NE, Pit, and GB in the playoffs, hats off to them. That's a helluva run.

In all of the playoff games this weekend the best defense won. No difference today. Defense wins playoffs games. It was always a problem with this team.
Defense wasn't the issue.

Couldn't agree more. I'm physically sick right now.
I'm really intrigued as to how practices were going. Wondering if that was part of the reason why Welker was benched - perhaps too much of a cocky attitude from the players all week?

As painful as it is, hand it to the Jets, their defensive scheme shut Brady down.No excuses, they backed it up.So... When is truck day?
