Not rooting for devastating injuries to anyone.

However, I'd love to see Scott carted off the field by Gillette Stadium Security after trying to punch someone in a fit of frustration.

Not rooting for injuries by any means. Let's put it this way, I'd feel a hell of a lot worse if Jason Taylor went down as opposed to Scott. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to Gillette Security tasing him after a pummeling-induced meltdown.

Win it.

I just watched the foot fetish video for the first time. Yes, I knew all about it, I just didn't care. But if there's gonna be this many jokes about it, I need to keep informed.
All I can say is that while I'm not a foot fetishist myself, I was not all the impressed with his wife's feet. Looked kinda big and gangly to me. Like Abe Lincoln's sister's feet would've looked.

His reasoning is that Brady can't continue his no interception streak forever, and will throw high leverage interceptions against the Jets. He also is a year late on this Jets defense, and is still approaching it like they can generate pressure on the QB at will. In a different segment, he also said that players shouldn't like playing for Belichick because he won't stick up for them in their declining years and "only likes younger players."

I want to see Faulk crying after this game. Fuck him and the Jets equally.

Belichick only likes younger players? Holy shit. The biggest knock on the Pats from like '06 to '09 was that they had a 'slow, aging defense'.

Faulk is such a fucking asshole. He doesn't even keep his own story straight.

EDIT - And, let's face it, what he calls disloyalty, I call good management. There's a reason the team has won 10 games 9 of the past 10 seasons; more often than not, he knows when to cut a guy loose.

The media is really getting dumber as the week has gone on. I think Mike Mutnansky said it best on WEEI this morning: as the week has gone on, people start to second guess their first instincts and try to make a case for the underdog. Myself included, really. This game has gotten progressively tighter in my mind as the week has gone on.

Maybe he should ask his cousin his feelings on playing for Bill Belichick.

4+ hours to kickoff. Is it unrealistic to want the score to be 366-0 at the half? Our QB may be pretty like a girl, but at least he doesn't throw like one.

I definitely believe in the "any given Sunday" theory. That said, if the Patriots come out and play their A or B game, I don't think the Jets can win. The Patriots seem to be able to score 25+ by accident lately, and it's hard to see the Jets putting that up today. If the Pats are on at all today, it's hard to see them not getting 5 or 6 scoring drives, and if they finish them off in the red zone, were looking at 30+.

Not handing out ridiculous contracts to declining veterans while developing young talent is how you keep a dynasty going for 10 years. Those Rams teams Faulk was on got old real fast after the '01 SB run, and fell apart.

A few points:

- Yes, we're all aware many teams do this.
- The Jets had two problems: one, they had inactive players illegally on the sideline; two, THE FUCKING GUY STUCK HIS FUCKING LEG OUT TO INTENTIONALLY TRIP A LIVE PLAYER.

But, yeah, EQUIVALENCY YOU GUYS.

EDIT - I couldn't care less about any of it, of course.

Edit: found it here Link

Suffice to say that Glazer is somewhere between material exaggeration and outright fabrication in comparing the two situations based on that video. If there's something else somewhere, curious to see it

One of the great fallacies of this season is that the Pats are somehow playing at an elite level despite sub-par talent.

Bullshit - they have LOTS of talent. Problem is, most people don't know who Aaron Hernandez is. Of course, you'd think the people paid to know who he is would know, but hey.

They have a ton of great talent that's not flashy or useful at fantasy football (Light-Mankins-Koppen, the blocking ability of Gronk and Crumpler, Wilfork, etc) so it's not surprising that it gets overlooked.

Here's the key in the first half, according to FO:

Of course, the Jets will come out trying to run the ball as often as they throw it, at least until they fall behind. The Jets ran the ball on 47.7 percent of first-half plays this season -- in other words, before the score usually was an issue. That percentage was sixth in the league. The Jets should be able to get consistent running gains. Their hogs up front are a lot stronger than the guys who lead the Patriots' 3-4 defense, especially with the Patriots dealing with some injuries on the line (although those injuries are somewhat mitigated by the return of their best run-stopping linebacker, Brandon Spikes, from suspension). The Jets are third in Adjusted Line Yards, while the Pats defense is 21st. The Jets have higher ALY than the Patriots in all five directions, although you have to wonder a little bit about the and a huge advantage when it comes to short-yardage runs. The Jets converted 76 percent of the time, second in the league behind Miami, while the Patriots allowed conversions 71 percent of the time, 30th in the league. Rex Ryan needs to be gutsy on fourth down in this game.

Confirms what a lot of others are saying on SoSH -- stop the early runs, get ahead, and put the ball back in Sanchez' hands.

And, I don't know, I'm a homer, but the guy moves one step towards then steps back pretty much right away....

And of course, he didn't trip him.

Believe Shawn Crable is the player.

Not sure why Glazer didn't just name him; to degree it was fear about a libel/slander issue he has identified a group of one so he is no better off than if just named the guy.

A bit of levity before the game, from PatsPulpit:

BREAKING NEWS: Practice at the Jets Stadium was delayed 2 hours yesterday after a player found a white powdery substance on the ground. Police and Homeland Security investigated. Experts determined that the white substance, unfamiliar to most of the players, was in fact the goal line. Practice will resume since the team was unlikely to encounter the substance again.

"Then maybe the Patriots would get fined instead of the Jets being fined."

So instead of fining the Jets who clearly lined up in a solid wall and clearly interfered on the play as visible clearly on replay, they get off and the fine should be applied to the Pats because of a blurry shot from a passing North Korean spy satellite that doesn't conclusively show anything? Oh man, that's just...I mean... what do you SAY to someone like that?
