In Vietnam again. I'll be watching on my sister-in-law's cable TV at 0430 Monday morning. One of the Thai channels is carrying all four games.

I'm also sick of the bleeping Jets. I want to see Fireman Ed in agony. I want to see Vince Wilfork score a TD as time expires to make it 73-0. Bleepers.

And after the game I want to see Wes Welker fielding a reporter's question about running up the score with this response............ "Sometimes when you got your opponent down, you've just got to put your foot on their throat."

I've been predicting 34-17, Pats, for most of the week.

I would like to change that.

34-3.

That Bart Scott comment is going to have the Pats coming out looking to collect skulls.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots reserve defensive lineman Myron Pryor, who projected to be part of a rotation in Sunday's playoff game against the New York Jets, is listed as doubtful with a back injury.

Pryor's status highlights how the Patriots are thin along the defensive line, as Ron Brace (starter against the Jets on Dec. 6) and Mike Wright (out with injury since Nov. 21) were both placed on season-ending injured reserve last week.

With Pryor unlikely to play, the Patriots project to have Vince Wilfork, Gerard Warren and Kyle Love as their starters in the 3-4 alignment, with Brandon Deaderick, Landon Cohen (signed Dec. 22) and Eric Moore (signed Dec. 3) the backups.

Hernandez, who missed the final two regular-season games with a hip injury, said he will be ready for action Sunday against the Jets.

"It's been great. It's feeling good. I've had a good week of practice and I'm ready to go," he told reporters Friday.

Hernandez was asked the challenges he faces after missing two games.

"Mindset, to get back focused," he said. "When you're laid-back and not around everyone, you forget about the intensity and focus, being locked in play-to-play. Coming back in, I just knew I had to be locked in. I had a good week of practice being locked in, learning the plays, getting the plays back in my mind, and now I feel comfortable."

It's going to be quite a day of football for me and the family. My girlfriend is a Seahawks fan, my mother a Bears fan and me as a Pats fan. Stomp the Jets and punch them in their big mouths!

Am I the only one nervous?? I guess I get this way every game about the Pats. I mean, I just can't imagine them losing but it is always a possiblity.

And who feels this would be worse than losing the Giants SB/perfect season?

I'm very nervous; I always get nervous, but I can see the Jets keeping the ball for 40 minutes and running at will against a depleted D front. And, as others have posted, nothing will even come close losing Super Bowl 42.

The Jets don't have the rushing attack they did last year, and they're missing their right tackle, Woody.

Not to mention that the Pats have a lot of beef up front - Wilfork, Warren, Mayo, and Spikes are big boys.

I don't see that happening.

I don't mean this sarcastically, but why don't you just tell them that the best way to on her would be to do exactly what you want (watch the game). She would have wanted you to be happy.

Let me get this straight, you're involved in a family and a religion that requires you to attend a mass for a grandmother two years after she died. Not a week after she died. Not a month after she died. Not a year after she died. Two years after she died. And you would feel guilty if you skipped out for the biggest game since Super Bowl 42.

My wife is baptist. I'm agnostic. She never makes me go to church except on Christmas Eve. Because of this post, just before kickoff tomorrow, I'm going to give her a kiss and say "Thank you." She'll ask "For what?" and rather than explain, I'll say "Just because."

Tell them that you're pissed that they did nothing for the 1.5 year death anniversary and that you want to spend tomorrow at home planning her 2.5 year anniversary celebration.

Your wife said you don't have to go. If she REALLY means you don't have to go....as opposed to "you don't HAVE to go, but I want you to and you should because it's my dead grandmother and my mother will be pissed because I married such an inconsiderate bastard...", then stay at home and watch the game.....Otherwise.....DVR is good.

Words can't describe how pumped up I am for today. It's personal for me because of all the shit I took in 07 for the Pats losing to a NY team. There's no fucking way they can lose today. I hate this Jets team more than anyone here because of the fans here. We don't get these opportunities very often, folks. This team has given everyone an unexpected ride to the top of the AFC this year and I'm not ready for it to end. It's time for all of the talking and other bullshit to stop(actually, it was time a while ago) and prove yourself on the field. Play Patriots football for 60 minutes. Let them do the talking and don't get baited into any stupid penalties.

Nothing will come easy today. It will be a dogfight to the end. Just survive and advance and move on.

Keep protecting the football and avoid penalties. Similarly, avoid negative plays on first down offensively.

Win.

Losing today is unacceptable. Losing to the Jets in the AFC playoffs cannot be tolerated. The mere thought of those inbred retard Jets jumping around Gillette Stadium after winning makes my stomach flip. This game is as important as THAT Superbowl. Don't make me feel like that again.

This game won't be easy. Too much talk of playing the Steelers already. This game thread will be a mess. Patriots will win. 28-21.

I will be streaming this game from England. So I will be up very late tonight, and probably drunk.

WIN!

Beat 'em up early and WIN.

Now that the vile Ravens have been dispatched back to their nest of filth, I beseech you O Patriots to complete the circle of life and administer to the Jets a most savage and ruthless beating, leaving marks upon even their unborn illegitimate children. My small children will be watching with me today, so please do not force me to scream terrible words at the television. Come back with your shield or on it. Or with their heads on your shield. That would be okay too.

Diagnosis: Desperation.

Local shrinks say New York’s Gang Green is green with envy, prompting the tirade of trash talk on Tom Brady [stats] and the league-leading New England Patriots [team stats] this week to compensate for their own shortcomings in today’s Foxboro faceoff.

“There’s a lot of jealousy there, and they are going after the guy who gets the most attention,” said Sharon Salter, a psychiatrist at Newton-Wellesley Psychiatry, asked by the Herald to put Jets coach Rex Ryan and his big-mouthed bunch on the couch.

The Jets, still reeling from their 45-3 thumping by the Patriots in December, are trying to get inside the players’ heads, said Dan Lebowitz, executive director of the Sport in Society organization at Northeastern University. “They are trying to look for any advantage because the history of excellence is on the Patriots’ side,” Lebowitz said. “That bravado and swagger is a way to distract players or get players on the Patriots off-guard.”

I'm a little worried about special teams. Tate hasn't been that great as returner for a while and the Jets have broken off some nice returns. We absolutely must make Sanchez move the ball 70-80 yards for TDs.
