If Donald Brown is in the game and it is an obvious passing down, I hope the Pats rush everyone. He can't pass protect at all. He is going to get Manning killed.

He's turning into their Maroney isn't he? He's in his second year so there's still time but when you're a first round pick and you're losing carries to Mike Hart and Junior James things aren't going great.

Rodney could work up "disrepect" in games where the Pats were favored by 20 points.

That whole interview is worth a listen. Holy crap, a sports station on which the host is extremely knowledgable, asks interesting questions, and the guests are allowed to talk about Xs and Os?

(Colvin, by the way, is incredibly well-spoken. Toward the end he mentions he's doing some work for the Big Ten network these days, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a broadcast booth or studio at some point.)

I've always heard, reliably, that the Colts never trusted that they were totally alone in the Colts' locker room in Foxboro, and that when Manning had something of strategic significance to say to offensive coordinator Tom Moore, they both stepped outside into the concourse outside the locker room. So if you're outside the locker room Sunday, don't be surprised to see Manning and his first-year coordinator, Christensen, huddling for a few minutes.

1.) He's such a shitty reporter. You shouldn't just print some shitty rumor that's going to stir up all kinds of crap unless you have a real source and you identify the source, and if you are printing you should give the Patriots a chance to respond.

2.) And there's your disrepect cart-the Colts are calling you cheaters.

Dear Patriots organization,

Good evening. My name is Koufax32. As we come upon this Thanksgiving season I wonder how my week will unfold. My wife's family will be here Tuesday. They are all prissy colts fans who didn't know a team played there until 5 years ago. Now they are Superfans. By Superfans I mean sanctimonius tools of epic proportions when sporting events are involved.
I would humbly request that you dispatch the visiting team Sunday with a fury that rivals road rage on speed. A tight win would be okay but I would prefer to be thankful for a shellacking followed by a screenshot of an old school Manning face. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Have a wonderful holiday.
Regards,
Koufax32

P.S. win

Colts still have Manning, but I think the difference will be having Chung on Pats side, compared to the replacement rate (literally) Colts safeties, with no Bullitt, and especially, no Sanders.

Bethea is still there, but the rest of the FS and SS spots are taken up by Francisco (questionable), former practice squadders Newton (4 career tackles) and Vaughn (1 career tackle).

Tampa-2s rely on a fast and aggressive safeties to close off the seam routes, or ones that are fast enough to sneak up on blitzes. With Gronk's ability to shed off the chips off line and get open, and for Brady to fake out and freeze biting safeties, this has to be a huge advantage for the Pats, even more than the lack of offensive weapons for Manning.

And the problem is worsened by having Session and now Brackett (turf toe), leaving the critical 20 yards off scrimmage to Tyjuan Hagler (14 tackles) on the weak side, Cody Glenn (12 tackles) in the middle, and Pat Angerer (37 tackles) on the strongside.

The other keys? Woodhead to handle the standard but fast 4-men rushes, and Crumpler to seal off the outsides on a run or in protection.

Time to win fellas. The game thread is in good hands with Titoschew. Let's keep it going.

The key to exploiting the middle of a Tampa-2 style D is the offensive line. It has to be able to protect long enough for the TE's to get off the line and find the soft spot underneath. I assume they will give Light some help on Freeney via TE/HB leaving Vollmer to handle Mathis. I'm a bit concerned about the much larger Vollmer handling the small speed rushing Mathis. Vollmer has done extremely well with larger typical RE's but he struggled a lot early on in the Miami game against a much smaller Cameron Wake.

Hopefully the Pats don't overthink the game plan and just come out pounding the ball at that puny D line negating the rush entirely.

Would be nice if Fred was back today. Colt's D very vulnerable straight up the middle on line, LB, and S with the injuries. Crump/Gronk with the wham blocks, or trap blocking by the OL and just maul your way down field. Let Freeney and Mathis spin themselves in circles all day on the outside. Crush them in the middle. This, please.
