I'd like to try and bring it back. I don't know about most, but i'm on youtube at least 30 minutes a day watching soccer clips. Whenever I see one that I want to share, i'm going to post it here. Please do the same.
Milan v Napoli today, check out Lavezzi's goal in a 2-1 loss:

One of the worst football memories of my life. Thanks. What they didn't show is Ortega getting taken down at the other end of the pitch in the box and getting up and [not] headbutting Van Der Saar, getting a red card, and an infamous free kick.

Ortega dove.
Embellished for sure, but it does look like there was contact on his right leg (5:31). Regardless, was the ref going to book the defender or Ortega?

I don't think I'll ever see a player dominate in one season like Ronaldo did his one year at Barca in 1996-1997. I'm glad that was the year I studied in Spain.
Funny thing that magical goal versus Compostela, you can see on the play Guardiola just standing there watching it all unfold. Almost like he knew Ronaldo would take care of it.
Also the goal against Deportivo was the last one he ever scored for Barca.
Love the reactions from Bobby Robson too.
Yet despite all that Barca finished second that season to Fabio Capello's Madrid.

Messi has never dived?!?!?!

You could probably put together a similar compilation of Messi diving, but it would be about half as long and would have to span his whole career. You could put together another 3:49 comp of Ronaldo diving just since the beginning of the season.
We love you CR7/9!

A fairly amusing goal celebration;
If I were on the opposing team there would probably be a broken leg after that bullshit.

Why do white American males get so butthurt at athletes having fun?
They're having fun at the expense of the other side. They're showing them up, and, for me, it's pretty disrespectful. If I were on that opposing side, it would bother me.
Also, out of curiosity, what makes you so certain that I'm a white American male? Not saying you're wrong, just wondering.

How on earth is that showing up the opposition? Seriously? A pre-planned goal celebration involving miming landing a big fish. Unless the opposing team's manager got caught masturbating with a dead haddock, I really can't see the problem.

This type of stuff is like standing at the plate for a really long time and watching the ball after you hit a home run. Just because it's not making a personal comment about someone on the opposing team doesn't mean you're not rubbing it in their faces.
