This will be an easy edit on DVD to edit out Simmons and Clarke.

I finally got around to seeing part 2 of the Tenth Inning last night. Perfect segue for tonight.

"...And then, finally, Ortiz."

It's why no true fan will ever, ever boo him, no matter his OPS. I love that man unconditionally.

I just got a DVR this week and just watched that Ortiz HR 5 times. Paying off already.

Simmons and Clarke aren't bad. There's really nothing to complain about.

You know, if that one really close pick-off throw from Rivera is just a couple of inches lower, and Martinez doesn't have to squeeze it and then drop the glove down, Roberts is out. The ball was there before he touched the first base bag.

As much as I hate Buck, "We'll see you later tonight!" is one of my favorite game-ending calls of all-time.

Yup. Not planned. Spur of the moment, just like Ortiz.

Loving the clubhouse footage courtesy of Millar!

Game 5 - don't let the MFY's clinch at Fenway. Make them do it at home.

Moral victories.

I'm pissed that there's no Mueller interview. His hit was a fucking afterthought.

I've come to the conclusion that Mueller is either a ginormous asshole or the most boring human of all time. There's really no other explanation for his total lack of exposure post-retirement in Boston, and the relative weight given to his hit compared to Millar's walk.

I suppose I shouldn't bitch about what they gloss over in two hours. You could fill 20 minutes apiece with just Mueller's AB and Leskanic's inning.

something's wrong, shut the light
heavy thoughts tonight
and they aren't of snow white

dreams of war, dreams of liars
dreams of dragon's fire

and of things that will bite

sleep with one eye open
gripping your pillow tight

Do you think Mariano Rivera sees Bill Mueller in his nightmares?

We probably won't win this series, but let's just fuck with NY a bit more before bowing out. There can't be any magic left.
