Maybe, although Baltimore with Buck will be a contender. They're overdue.I'd recommend the Pirates. They've been rebuilding for 18 years so they should be off the charts amazing next year.

Maybe you should pick another team to root for.
I sometimes wish it really were that easy for me to do so. Or at the very least not care so much. It's brutal.

I prefer to look at it as Lester and Buchholz back-to-back and Pedroia and Youkilis back-to-back.Beckett and Lackey back to back. Oh yes, I can't wait for 2011.

It's true. You can't really choose to be an obsessive fan. Primordial loyalties aren't that easily discarded or transferred.I sometimes wish it really were that easy for me to do so. Or at the very least not care so much. It's brutal.

20 years old is so far back in my rear mirror, I can't tell you, but I also feel some trepidation about Beckett/Lackey '11. Go ahead, shoot me.

At least Beckett was hurt this year. Lackey's unexplained-suck is worrisome.

If we lose this game, I'm blaming the fact that Beckett's necklace is all screwed up with the neck of his shirt.
If we lose this game, I'm blaming Lugo.

No, I'm not picking on you, I'm actually genuinely interested in that comment you made.yes. why?
If you're 20, you got a WS championship at 14 and then another at 17. Seems like it's been a pretty nice ride, as opposed to years of angst.

I'm not sure it would have been done at all if not for Scutaro's arm dangling by a tendon. They probably should have tried the Lowrie SS/Scutaro 2B thing a lot sooner than when they finally did it.

Oh
It was just a general statement.
I don't think I could've made it through the earlier Sox years. I mean, the Bruins are bad enough. At least the Sox never made me cry pathetically. Just punch things.

I decided a couple of days ago to just switch over to the Royals. I figure, hey, early-30's, settling into a career, moved in with the lady, in pretty good shape, I need a little more angst back in my life.
Plus, no one ever got Ted Williams on tape talking about diarrhea filling his shoes.

That SB crushed me so bad I haven't watched much football since. I still can't believe it. edit: woops - we're talking about different events. I saw 'pats' after reading about disappointments - jumped to the wrong conclusion .

Nothing was ever as bad as the series last year w/ the B's. It almost broke me I was so upset. Which is probably why this year's disaster really didn't register.

Jesus this night went from bitching about Lackey and Beckett to reminiscing about painful Sox, Bruin's and Pat's losses.
Is it too early to add 2009-2010 Celtics?

To be honest, I really wasn't expecting much from them. Or last year either. They suprised the hell outta me but I wasn't completely destroyed.
Still though. Fuck the Lakers.
