It was called the 1951 Giants.
And the 1969 Mets.
And the 1995 Mariners.
And the 2007 Rockies.
And the 2004 Red Sox.
Here's the weird part. They all start the same way: "Today, we played a baseball game."
Tonight, we play a baseball game. Make it a good one.

I don't think better words have ever been spoken.
And while we're at it, fuck you Dan Johnson. Who the hell do you think you are? Welcome to the lead pipe list, you're right up there with Catalanotto and all of the goddamn Aybars.

I said I'd stop hating John Lackey when he wins a meaningful game for the Red Sox. I still hate John Lackey. John, let me not hate you.
Don't let us win tonight.

Sonofabitch. If Fox won't have us why will they? I'd rather try to find a stream from somewhere else so I can actually hear the game.
Sack up Lackey. Make me not want you dead for once.

I just can not phatom any good reason why Navarro is in the starting line-up for a game this important........any ideas??
Navarro over Lowrie: Lowrie is ailing?
Navarro over Hall: they figure the RH breaking pitch will cause 3 strikeouts and a DP
Navarro - they don't know how to pitch to him.

Nope, one example to counter that is Casey Kotchman's bout with the same illness in 2006(basically missed the entire seasons). But yeah, really would prefer Lowrie in there today if at all possible.

Also, Jed Lowrie isn't going anywhere you assholes. He's the Opening Day 2011 shortstop.

Unfortunate typo....Lowrie will die, mono will be renamed 'Jew Lowrie Disease', and Ben Affleck will play him in the movie Pride of the Red Sox.

Hey, I'd like to initiate a class-action lawsuit on behalf of Red Sox fans Nation-wide against Theo for the mental anguish caused by his failure to get another arm or two for the 'pen. Are you interested? (Gotta be pro bono, but you'd get at least 50% of any settlement, yes?)
In the meantime, I would personally appreciate the Red Sox winning this game tonight. TIA.

Sorry, it has to be to the challenged statement. Your statement was he would be the starting shortstop on Opening Day. That is what you must wager on.

I like your accountibility. What happens if Jed Zeppelin is dead of Legionnaire's disease on opening day?
