He's consistent, at least.

Less than 20 minutes in to the Final, there's been 6 extended "roll around in pain, beg for the call" dive/flops.
Drama does not need to be manufactured and this sports suffers like no other because of it.
Make that 7.

Apparently I am missing the "flopping" that others are seeing
That should be a straight red

You think? I think they play exactly like their coach wants.
OTOH, you ve got a technical team like Spain who is being brutalized and OTOH a team that should be techical trying to equalize the perceived difference in quality by making the game physical.

Kuyt is a 4-letter word.
What the hell was De Jong thinking out there with the Kung Fu action?
Pedro takes on 5 defenders, again refusing to dish off to David Villa. Newsflash: Villa has some ability to put it in the net.

Kick to the chest should've been a red. Pedro should've gotten a yellow in minute 43 for a challenge trip well after the Dutchman had gotten rid of the ball.

Dutch could easily be down 2 men right now.

I guess I don't disagree with you. Clearly the most effective tactic to neutralize a deficiency in technical ability is to make the game physical. More than anything else, I'm just disappointed that the Dutch are playing that way. Germany looked uncomfortable in their own skin against the Spanish and lost as a result. The Dutch have the technical ability to stick with Spain, but they chose to go away from that. I can't see the Dutch winning this game if they keep playing this game.
