Maybe you're talking about this somewhere else, but if not, this is the rumor going around as to why England seemed so divided, because they actually were:

Yeah, that reads like something I'd read in the Weekly World News. The judge made a gag order in order to protect the english national team while they decided about Capello? Sounds like a story in search of a justification.

if you know anything about the English tabloids, the idea that they would hold off on printing something to protect the FA is beyond laughable.

Quite. Trouble is that the current England squad are such a bunch of overpaid whingy brats with the mental age of eight year olds that any story will seem to carry an element of truth because they are so dysfunctional.
We could start a rumour here on this board today, and within a couple of days, given a few lucky breaks, could end up seeing it repeated in the press, on our one of the tabloid websites a 'fact'.
So - How about - "Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand produced a sex video of them roasting an eighteen year old on holiday in Ibiza."
Actually, that's true.
"Ashley Cole nearly crashed his car when his agent told him that Arsenal wouldn't go higher than 55 GRAND A WEEK in wages."
Erm, that's true as well.

Apparently the rumor is shite because Alex Curran doesn't actually have a sister.

Which becomes 'Alex Curran lies about having a sister' in tabloid-world.

Heh, sorry about that. I only posted it originally because a British journalist/FB friend seemed to think there was some truth to it, but it looks like it was indeed made up.

Roast? Is that the term they're using now? How...evocative.

And here I was thinking I was keeping up by thinking it's called Eiffeling.
Wait. Are roasting and eiffeling the same thing?

Eiffeling has a high five requisite.
