I think soccer's most underrated aspect is that it's a young man's game. But because of natural cautiousness we get less efficient sides consisting of brand name players. Which is to say, Germany may be as good as it gets.
Though that good is so far, best team of the tourney.

Germany has always been a powerhouse. Argentina has talent, but a shit coach. They qualified shit, and the shortcomings are apparent against good opposition.
Revolution my ass.
German players 25 or under:
Neuer, Jansen, Boateng, Schweinstagger, Ozil, Podolski, and Muller.
Don't worry...if they play De Nederlands in the final you'll be saying, "fucking Germans" plenty.

If Spain can get by Paraguay, I would favour Spain to beat Germany. Either of those two teams have a 50-50 chance against Holland, and a slighty better chance against Uruguay, I'd say.
Proclaiming this World Cup the tournament of South American teams was a bit premature, although both the bad quay as well as the very quay have perfomed well. Brazil and Argentina disappointed, and I think you can lay the blame squarely on the shoulders of both managers.
EDIT: South American team that should get the team of the tournament award for being such great ambassadors for good football is Chile. Chile played the most pleasing football, by far.

Why an FA of a football superpower would entrust the national team to a guy with literally no managing experience is baffling.

It was one sided, yes. But if this match didn't "deliver", maybe this tournament isn't for you?

Brazil/Portugal, Ivory Coast/Portugal were on the dull side, as well. I've learned to not look forward to anything involving this Portugal team.
The refs errors in Germany/England and Argentina/Mexico took away from those games, too.

You forgot Gomez and Mertesacker. Kroos and Marin are also likely to be awesome cogs in Maschinedeutche by 2014.

Okay, so basically just any match involving Portugal. I believe we've located the common thread here. Portugal is boring and does not play exciting football.
