I realize they only amount to 2 games in the loss column, but these last 2 games have stung. So many missed opportunities.

Salvage one, fellas.

The Sox make it to Denver but once every 6 years (WS aside). I'd like to see at least 1 vistory to get me through the next half-dozen years. Pretty please?

Might be the last time Mike Lowell is with the team. DL today to make room for Dice. Mystery injury of course but we can't cut loose one of our AAAA outfielders. Love ya Mike, thanks for the memories. Class act.

Yesterday's game is over. What's done is done...let it go. The Sox have. Time to focus on today. Do it Dice. Win big.

I'm sure that 4 will end up going 6-14 with 2 extra base hits and 4 runs scored...

And let me just add to the Lowell thing. Barmes actually ROLLED OVER and threw from his knees and got Mike by 3 steps. He ROLLED AWAY from 1st base.

DL him, DFA him...I don't care. But the guy does not belong on a major league team if he can't beat that play out. Peace, Mike.

I have to think Youkilis is banged up, because there's no reason he should sit over Beltre with the pitcher that's least dependent on IF defense on the mound. Either that or the Sox have no confidence in his ability to play 3B, but it shouldn't be an issue for one game with a pitcher that's not dependent on IF defense.

To be completely honest, I'm okay with that. He's had back issues curtail his production the last two years. Giving him some time to rest is absolutely worth it if it keeps him fresh for the latter part of the season.

The ray of light is that the last time Mike Cameron faced Hammel (9/30/09 @ COL), he took him for a HR to deep CF.

C'mon Daisuke, you can't let the soccer team have all the fun. Smack these guys around. The Rockies are just terrible, terrible people. They kill, they maim, and they call information for numbers they could easily look up in the book.

Do it for Phil Moscowitz, lovable rouge.

AAAA outfielders, fight like you want to stay.

Just do it and do it hard and early.

Rockies keys to the game (from their broadcast):

Hammel has to pitch well.

Their bullpen needs to be better than ours.

They need to get lucky.

I can't wait until the last out is recorded. By far one of the worst broadcast teams I've had to listen to this year.

One of my favorites was last night when they declared that Nava was playing shallow in left against Hawpe because he was more comfortable playing shallow because of the Green Monster.

I like that David Ortiz not driving in the runner in that situation feels like a squander again.
