So as a hockey fan who watches about an hour of soccer a year and casually watches the world cup I have a silly question. Why did the defender totally duck out of the way of the ball rather than trying to block it, even with his head? It's the freaking world cup, don't you have to go all out there?
Feel free to mock and criticize, I'll freely admit I know nothing about the game. Though I was able to teach a life long Italian fan about the 2 guys behind the ball counting the goalie (keeper?) for an offside call after the goal that was waved off for (someone??) last week.
