The Celtics are in the same position right now, but tonight will be different.
Tonight, the Celtics will win on that Staples Center floor and become champions...
again.

KG in the press conference tonight (hopefully):
"Well, I'm sure Phil noticed that we didn't blow the lead in the fourth quarter tonight."

Let's dance on their floor for the first time since, as Bryan Adams would say, the Summer of '69.

Even better if the Celtics make a 4th quarter comeback.
"I guess these Lakers know well enough how to lose a game, huh?"
Luck the Fakers.

Jesus, that was two months ago? The playoffs are no joke, let's hope the Celts can close it out tonight and not have to worry about a Game 7. I am and have always been a ref conspiracy theorist, however, and I think this game will be called heavily in favor of the Lakers. Let's hope Bynum's knee is still the equalizer.

"Magical" is the word. If we pull this off, it will go down as one of the greatest championships in franchise history.

...though they did go on to win that game as well as the next 2.
Since the playoffs started, they've been a team on a mission. They finish it off tonight.

I've got that feeling too. I think Ray jumps right back into the MVP discussion tonight.
Ray usually has huge games when he gets a little good news about his son. Sounds like Walker is going to be just fine.
Make it rain!

Every day my mind is all around you
Looking out of my lonely room
Day after day
Bring it home, baby make it soon
I give my love to you

MCutchen is 6th in fouls per game, but he has called them relatively evenly for home/road teams. Seems to just call tight.
DeRosa is 67th and Maur is 75th(of 77!). Both slighly favor the home team, but not terribly. All 3 are middle of the pack for home win%. They will have to work for it(duh), but I think the C's can win this game.
I go on vacation thursday, so I would really like them to win this game, as I won't be able to watch game 7.(Never expected the C's to be in the finals when we booked it;

As Matt Damon once said, "I would very proudly like to announce that the Boston Celtics are coming here. Yes they are. They are. And I'd like just to let everybody know that categorically, positively, unequivocally, undeniably We're gonna kick your ass!

If I were mean I would post a picture of his wife and say "swine flue". Odom has one of the greatest ratios of talent/spine every, but I don't really hate the guy.

Was that Gavin Maloof in one of the clips? As owner of the Rockets in 1981? Wasn't he something like 16 years old then?

I simply cannot believe that as recently as 1986 they would allow fans to rush the court as cops stood idly by. When people say that times were more innocent, I feel like that's the kind of stuff they're talking about.
Or, look at Ike during his campaign:

In any event, the only place people will be rushing tonight is the exits at the Staples Center, hoping to be out of earshot when KG lets another primal scream out and Nate possibly spontaneously combusts out of excitement.

2/3 were the refs in game 2's 56 foul fest, and the other oversaw game one. That amount of fouls clearly favors the lakers. That's why it's important to come out and set the tone.
