3-3, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2 R

I wish Shin-Soo Choo was on a better team than Cleveland, like say Boston.

Dave Bush: 0.1 IP, 6 H, 7 ER, 2 BB

Looked like he was about to cry as he just walked off the field after being pulled.

Interesting game between the Angels & Cards. Red Sox alum Joel Pineiro & Brad Penny opposed each other and combined to give up 13 runs in 6 innings, and then Penny left with an injury.

Oh, and Penny hit a grand slam. So there was that.

Bush got absolutely ROCKED. The Twins won 15-3. Horrendous start for the Brewers.

Edwin Encarnacion just hit his 3rd HR of the night in Arizona. This one, in the top of the 9th, made the score 8-6 D-Backs with 2 out, but ARI held on for the win.

The Jays had 6 solo HRs tonight -- just the second time since 1920 that's happened.

Jerry Hairston Jr. of the Padres just threw a complete fit arguing an inside strike call. He was ejected immediately and then started gesturing with his fingers in the face of the home plate ump. At one point it looked like his fingertips jabbed him in the cheek (you could see the ump's head flinch backwards a bit).

Expect a lengthy suspension. Oh, and his team was trailing 15-4 to the Mariners at the time.

Holy crap. I just saw the Brad Penny grand slam highlight. He crushed it.

CARDINALS’ PENNY HURT HITTING HOMER Brad Penny appeared to injure his back while hitting a grand slam in the third inning, and the Cardinals’ bullpen took over in a 9-5 victory against the visiting Los Angeles Angels. Penny threw a few warmup pitches in the top of the fourth inning before leaving the game. Joel Pineiro (3-5), who had not allowed a run in 17 1/3 innings, gave up nine runs and nine hits to the team that allowed him to leave as a free agent after a 15-win season. (AP)

Top of the 9th inning, Ronald Belisario is pitching for the Dodgers with runners on 1st and 3rd.

Jim Leyland pinch hits Dontrelle Willis for Phil Coke. Joe Torre replaces Belisario for George Sherrill to get the L-L matchup. Jim Leyland counters by pinch-hitting Adam Everett who successfully executes a suicide squeeze.

Three times tonight Joe Morgan has mentioned Johan Santana needing to establish his curveball, a pitch he hasn't thrown in half a decade. Orel Hershiser tried to correct him as politely as possible.

Didn't I also hear JM predict "30 HR and 100 RBI" for A-Rod? Way to really go out on a limb there, Joe.

Jason Bay is on one of his tears. An opposite field home run in Citi Field is pretty impressive, and two HR tonight vs. the Yankees. O Canada!
