No. He has to wait until he is off the 60 Day, and then he will start his suspension. He's pretty much done for this season.

If you can serve while on the disabled list...I guess that means every pitcher who has TJ surgury should take steroids.
Yeah, because setting yourself up for another possible infraction costing you your career isn't threatening. Also, if you like money, since you don't get your salary.
Shouldn't pitchers for Dusty Baker get an exemption from this?

Well if they want to give up 1/3 of their salary. Don't get paid during the suspension

He not only goes by "Incarcerated Bob", but lists his interests as beating people up and picking winners. Sounds like a... winner.
Well, it's offical. Incarcerated Bob has changed his name to Scoop Bob. I don't know if I can live in this world anymore.
I hear his cell mate was somebody named Hot Carl. Go figure.

So Joe Nathan is probably grabbing every needle he can find, right-- who cares if you're suspended after long day of squeezing a tennis ball and kicking back on the sofa?
Yeah I guess I was wrong. When I first read it on Rotoworld they stated that he would have to wait until after his DL stint to serve his suspension.
Now it says this:

Also, saying he only loses $122,000 is stupid considering he is left with significantly less income than someone who made a free agent salary. It is probably far worse for him than a $10M getting suspended because they still have $6M coming to them rather than $200K.

What would that even change?
If the punishment didn't start until he was off the DL, they'd take him off the DL today, whether or not he could play.

What did he scoop? No big name NY ballplayer was suspended.

Could you replace him on the roster, or will they have to field a 24 man team for 50 games?
