Canseco subpoenaed by grand jury

And the unintentionally provacatively accurate quotation of the day:
QUOTE
"Its like the godfather," Canseco said in a later post, "when I thought I was out they drag me back in. And now it begins again."

I think it's my birthday.

Given this quote:

QUOTE
"I have never had a conversation with Clemens in which he expressed any interest in using steroids or human growth hormone," Canseco said in a 2008 affidavit submitted to the same congressional committee that heard his former teammate's testimony. "Clemens has never asked me to give him steroids or human growth hormone, and I have never seen Clemens use, possess or ask for steroids or human growth hormone."

What could Canseco add to the investigation?

Clemens will show up with Jose's twin brother Ozzie and sit in the back of the court room together as a visibly shaken Jose says he "doesn't know nothing about no steroids."

I loves me a few spring steroid stories. How many more of the 104 are we going to find out about this year? Side-by-side pictures of Canseco and Clemens will make for sad commentary on these once overinflated cartoon figures, now chunky, flabby, tired and utterly discredited.

Except for Canseco: he's been right so often that I would probably take anything he said on faith.

True - regarding steroids. But remember, he also claimed that he ran the 40 yard dash in 3.9 seconds.

And, at least once, he (publicly) said that Clemens wasn't doing steroids.

I think we have to assume that the Grand Jury has information that contradicts Canseco's previous affidavit or they wouldn't be calling him.

So, now that the Rangers are in the WS, does Canseco, as long rumored, come out with his "evidence" that Nolan Ryan used PEDs?

Would that surprise you?
