[*]QT was robbed, and I bet he does care. In script, picture, or director he had a strong and possibly stringer case than Hurt Locker.
I gotta say- I saw a guy that was happy to be there, didn't give a shit on any level, was much cooler than everything else going on around him, but was also the kind of guy that could accept and enjoy it.
I think there's something to be said at this point for making a movie that's too radical for the Oscars. Or, at least, one everyone admits is sensational but doesn't arbitrarily get caught up in the sentimental sweep of "why" these people win these awards. You're right though- I totally thought IBs was the best thing of the year on every level.
Plus, dude- pretty sure Clooney was participating in the joke.
