Those were nice times.
This is not your 2003, 04 or even 2005 offense. 2001 Maybe.

Remember when you could sit and watch the Sox and somehow know if they were down by three runs, given an inning or two they'd (for the most part) find a way to come back.
Show me which sox team came back from being down by 3 runs more then 50% of the time.

7 times lead off man on
8 walks
2 HBP
a "lost ball" triple
and we have 2 runs.

I know they didn't, but it seemed as though the lineups were constructed better that would allow them to. . this one is in a coma currently.

Manny shoulda let it hit him to save the DP
That's just Manny being Manny.
Edit: And Trot being Trot. Thanks for not even trying guys. We really appreciate these three-game losing streaks like you don't believe. A nice subtle reminder of the good old days.

There's a whole lot of baseball left to play...but after these last few games, I'm not as excited about the brand this team is playing. Coco Crisp is not going to make that much of a difference. This team is playing like it just doesn't give a shit right now.

Around the 5th it felt like someone was playing a joke on me. 7 BBs off CASEY FOSSUM and fucking nothing to show for it? I don't even have words. Fucking heartburn now, too.

With Kazmir Sunday, we'll be lucky to win 1 of 3 here.
The Sox will not win tomorrow. Dinardo will not last 3 innings. Hopefully Schilling throws a shutout, otherwise Sunday could be very scary too.

An absolute microcosm of our offense in the last ~10 games- nice start with some patience, a couple walks, runners on, and then the bottom of our lineup and... feces all over the place. Those last four pitches were classic. A crushing DP on a weak, awkward hack and a 3-pitch K when only one pitch was in the strike zone.
