Will the two Koreas march in together?

Who will be carrying the torch in the final seconds?

My guess is Trevor Linden touches it last.

Not "The Great One" Wayne Gretzky? I vote for Walter, especially since he couldn't spell Sachmoney's name.

Some curler I've never heard of, who will light the torch by kissing the hammer off two separate opposing stones. Or Peter Jennings.

My money is on Rick Moranis.

Or Adam Stern.

It'll be Trail BC's Jason Bay and while he'll do a suitable job, it will still leave most everyone on this board wanting more....

BTW, Team Georgia will not take part in the opening ceremonies due to today's tragic turn of events at the skeleton track....

They are marching.

Also, what the USA athletes are wearing is ugly.

Just seeing some of those opening shots of BC reminds me why I love it so much. You really are fortunate to live there. Any room for guests this week? smile.gif

You getting the chance to attend any of the events?

It had no chance of being great, but I thought it was ok. Definitely not awful, but also not incredible. Kanye's part was pretty good.

She is Johnny Weir's Olympics roommate. They have been good friends for ages. That just makes me smile.

Apparently he gussied up their suite before she arrived with a photo of Audrey Hepburn and artistically arranged towels, among other things.

I'm expecting something about 10 notches below Beijing. That's on a 20 notch scale, with Beijing being 20.

The horrible acoustics, and the unwavering desires of Lauer and Costas to resist shutting the fuck up, are turning this into a cacophony.

This will be the last indoor opening ceremony. Or at least it had better be.

And now we have the obligatory "Dance of the people we stole all the land from!!"

And unlike Australia, no Peter Garrett apoligists here. ... And asking Costas to shut the fuck up is like asking a prostitute to stop sucking dick. Won't happen.

We've now entered the phase where the witty Bob Costas makes fun of other countries. I love this.

He just mocked Andorra's "quixotic bid for these 2010 games. For some reason or other, they weren't among the finalists."
