It was about 72. The Canadians were out of shape, but in shape a much better team. But 'We finally got in shape!" doesn't rally a nation

That's basically right, but the score was 10-3, and it was three days before the Olympics.

Thanks , I was trying just saying expectations weren't high.
I have been following this thread for a few years. RMPS and
SOSH in general. Lots of good stuff, and back and forth. Please
excuse first time poster.

I thought the same thing - what a perfect Sega goal. The only way it would be more would be if he had come down the boards turned hard in front of the crease then shot

What a game for Canada so far. They're explosive. My only regret is I can't hear Bob Cole and Harry Neale announce. I am NOT counting out the Russians though right now.....they can turn this around quickly. They show flashes, but they too short to put anything together.

The problem is the fact that Canada is just blowing by Russia's forwards into the slot every trip down the ice. No goalie in the world can withstand that type of barrage. If Russia keeps playing like this on the defensive end, it won't matter how many goals they score.

Finland or the Czechs. They play later tonight, as does Slovakia and Sweden.

One part of me agrees, the rest says "F*ck that and the Russians".
We're coming for your boys, Americans. Revenge.

Worry about Sweden first. They're arguably better than the US.

Watching 46 (not going to try and spell his name) trying to limp around on one wheel was painful, though.
That's the kind of game I'd hoped to see against the US. Including a goalie who occasionally remembered to close the 5.

I'm pretty sure I wrote "Sweden or Slovakia" first before changing it too. Shows what I know. Can't wait to see Chara log 45 minutes in the next two games!

3:15 PM EASTERN ON NBC
Learn about Ryan Miller. Learn about Doc Emrick. Love both. Love both unconditionally.
Maybe they'll throw an ad for their national coverage of the NHL in there too.

...is it safe to come out and say that now, or are emotions still running high?
