No need to pad the lead in the 9th

2 3 4 up can't the kid get any easy save chances?

He has just always rubbed me the wrong way.  Maybe it's irrational, maybe it isn't.  I'm sure we all have guys like that on this team.  I know SJH detests Trot.  Same thing with me.

Ah, I see. Would you say it's the Camo-wearing/Big Texas Hunter/Likely Bush Voter thing? Because I really don't mind it here myself. Dude's got that warrior mentality that, stats be damned, def. can help pick up a team.

“Everybody can be [expletive] happy when you’re [expletive] 30-1, but what is everybody going to do when we’re 12-14? Are you going to show up to work the next day and write an [expletive] story? Hell no. You’re going to write the best story of your life. We’re going to try and play the best [expletive] game of our life tomorrow. That’s what you’ve got to do when you’re 12-14. Don’t put your head down and mope. Grind it out. You believe. That’s what we’re built on.”

I actually really liked Harris after I read his interview with David...now I can't stand him after watching him play
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I didn't read that interview, so you know how I feel about him. I can't believe he's getting atbats. Just stick Pena in center and leave it that way until Coco gets back. At least when Pena occasionally makes contact with the ball, it'll go somewhere further than the pitcher's mound. Terminate the Willie Harris era with extreme prejudice.

Dear Jonathan -

I should be in bed, but I'm watching you instead. When my alarm goes off at 4:45, the first thing I want to think of is the win you are about to preserve. Thanks in advance.

High heat baby.
Bought, not earned. There were about $900 million in free agent contracts signed this past offseason. The Yankees alone were responsible for $450 million, or one half of that amount. The next time some Yankee fan breathlessly goes on and on about their team make sure you remind them of this fact.

"You have one team (and only one team) playing the video game on cheat-mode." - Joe Posnanski on the Yankees.
