My guess is they push through and try to play this thing, but I don't think it will be pretty. Weather ain't looking good for the entire weekend.

Hoping we see lots of Kate Hudson joy.

No Nick Adenhart jokes from Yankee fans here, please.

This should be a good series, nice chance for NY to exorcise some of their recent demons. NY's weakness is rotation depth, but they have the edge in the bullpen and home field advantage. I think this is the best Yankee team since the 1998 version, hopefully it'll be enough.

One situation that will be interesting to watch is Damon, who for those who haven't been paying attention, has looked like a corpse recently (no HRs since 9/1, 4 Ks in 4 ABs in the last game). It just occurred to me, but I wonder if Girardi would consider Matsui in LF (for the first time this season), Posada at DH, and Molina at C during Burnett's start in game 2 if Damon looks awful again in game 1?

unless Fox has clipped its announcers' Adenhart-Stroking wings after TBS paid its tribute... you'll be sick enough of it to crack jokes before the 8th inning tonight.

I don't think so, bad karma, and I'm as misanthropic as they come. It is amazing that the national announcing crews actually make me miss Michael Kay (!!!), at least he follows the team all year.

Lackey is a real "ace" with his 89-91 mph fastball. Getting shut down by John Lackey is an embarrassment.

Sprowl will probably correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like he doesn't have command of his curve like he did against the Sox. It might be the cold, or it might be that he's a bleep.

Short of that HR, Teixeira's been invisible in the postseason.

Of course, that's a big "short of..."
