Fuck the rules -- it's time we shook things up.

This team is not going to be swept and eliminated at home. Buchholz won't stand for it. We won't stand for it. Fenway's going to rattle tomorrow.

11 wins is an easy streak to string together.

Nice, cushy day game. Nice, cushy win.

It starts here.

Make it so.

This is brilliance beyond brilliance.

I love baseball. I love the Boston Red Sox. And I do not want to see this season end. Win it for the love of the game.

Doc Zero shall lead us to the promised land.

I am busy tomorrow at 12. With luck, I might be able to see the end of the game. Win, so I don't have to worry about missing the last game of the season.

Fuck this. The Sox are not getting swept. This offense is not going out with a whimper. Buchholz is going to deal. Kazmir is going to struggle. Enough is enough is right.

Pound them.
Shut them down.
Cut them with an Animal Collective CD.

Win. That is all.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

I have tickets for monday, the weather looks great for a drive on monday . Win for fucks sake.
Edit- While at work tonight I found a dollar bill with the words "fenway park" stamped on it. The bill is in my wallet, obviously it was meant for me to spend on Monday at Game #4.

It's time to let loose.

I don't want the offense to merely wake up. I want to see a full frontal jihad on these LA Looks Hairgels of Anaheim. Don't keep it close enough for Slugface and his merry band of idiots to make a difference in the outcome. Make them suffer.

I'm confident Buchholz's first playoff start will have a better result than mine did.

October 11th. Today is the 10 year anniversary of Game 5 of the '99 Division Series. Pedro completes the 0-2 comeback vs Cleveland.

It has been done before, it will be done again. And it will start with this game on this day.

We will be 1-2 in this series in 15 hours or so. Someone has to be one game in the hole after three games. The way I see it, who gives a shit if you got there winning Game 1, 2 or 3. We roll starting tomorrow.

Make it motherfucking so.

Hit and Win!

I cannot express how much confidence Doc Zero has given me going into tomorrow's game.

The defiance of game thread rules? The resilience against the rising tide of the Angel ritard circus? Blatant disregard for the spirit of a dead DUI victim? Star Trek mojo?

All of these things and more are what our fearless leader has brought with him. I will go to the Mists of Avalon for the venerable Mr. Zero, Esq.

BRING THIS MOTHERFUCKING, THUNDERSTICK-BREAKING, RALLY-MONKEY RAPING SHIT ON!

I had never noticed that until last night - holy balls that is a weak ass thing for a manager to do. Its worse than Torre falling asleep on his bat or Terry's Rain Man impressions. I bet Jim Leyland would smoke in the dugout during games if they let him.

After the offense scored 1 run in 2 games, we need a Fenway breakout: No more misbegotten pop flies; no more soft liners right at fielders. I post this with special urgency, because we need a really good sacrifice.

BABIP calls to us. He hungers. We must feed him.

There's too much invested. It can't end here, the Red Sox of comeback fame, swept by the Angels? Um, what? I refuse to believe it. It's not logical, it's not rational, it's not possible. 164 games has led us all here. Six months we've watched. Six months of joy, of heartache. It won't end like this. No fight, beaten down by a team of west coast small ballers? The bats will awaken, the defense will be fleet afoot, and Clay will arrive. Champions find a way. Champions know that they are never out. There are too many champions in the Red Sox locker room for it to end here. All it takes is a win today. Win today. Win.

Enjoy the ride everyone.

Motivational speeches? Well, maybe this is a motivational historical reference. The Red Sox have risen before. They'll do it again. The Red Sox have had quite a bit of postseason success against the Angels, against teams that have pushed them up against the wall. Did you know the Angels played a role in the 1967 Impossible Dream, without playing in the postseason?

The night that changed Tony C's life also may have changed the Red Sox 1967 season. Entering August 18th, the Red Sox were 6-9 since August 1st and 3 games back in the standings. Including the August 18th win, the Red Sox went on a 7 game winning streak and finished August of that year with a 20-15 record. The Sox went 14-5 between August 18th-31st. Their 7 game winning streak started with a 4 game sweep of the California Angels of Anaheim via Los Angeles by way of San Diego from Sacramento.

Tony C knew all about comebacks, and the Red Sox know all about comebacks. They've done it before. Let's do it again!

Motivation to top all motivation:

"Don't let us win tonight. This is a big game. They've got to win because if we win we've got Pedro coming back today and then Schilling will pitch Game 6 and then you can take that fraud stuff and put it to bed. Don't let the Sox win this game."

The Red Sox simply go out before the motherfucking Minnesota 'we're only in the playoffs because of a missed HBP call' Twins do. And they can't get swept like the St. Louis Cardinals and their most overrated manager in the history of the game.
Getting to game five starts today. And it starts with smaller goals that lead to it. Today, the Sox don't get swept. Tomorrow, the Sox don't let the Angels celebrate on our field. Then its game five.

Don't just win.
