I just spent an hour dealing with idiots at Best buy because I wanted to return an item and they wanted to exchange for the identical item even though they carry that item anymore.
I was in a really bad mood, but then saw the above picture. Now I can't stop giggling like a naked toddler.

If I recall correctly, this wasn't even a bad call by the ump, he was actually safe.

A Monte Carlo simulation uses random numbers to simulate the playoff series.
Each game of the series is given a seperate outcome probability, based on the
home team, the team's performance during the regular season, and the expected
starting pitcher matchup. Since a different sequence of random numbers is used
every day, the results may change slightly from one day to the next, even if
there was no game and no change in the pitching matchups.
DS = Division series
CS = Championship Series
WS = World Series

That was a pickoff on Crisp, right? My memory of these events is a bit hazy.
I looked it up. And Drew mooted it with the game-winner an out later.
I'll be watching tonight at the house of a friend from Southern California. He is a supporter of the Angels; he's already adopted a grim fatalism about the whole thing.
Win.

They'd also declare it explosive. Flew down and back to SoCal last week and it's a wonder they don't do a strip search. But, better more security than less.

I don't think so.

Normally I hate these backwards-ass, late-starting West Coast games, but since I figure the odds of me getting any sleep tonight are nil, I'm now thanking the baseball gods for giving me something worthwhile to stay up for.

In order for us to do that, we have to post a giant picture of his dead leg on the wall. Heidi might object to that.

The sad part is that the bar is one of those things that really is bad as they say it is. What a cocktease graduating law school is.
On a good note(for the CT guy) I was convinced I had failed the ME bar and I did not. Still waiting for the MA bar results....

I personally don't buy into any of this seeming conventional wisdom about the Angels that 'We're in their heads".
Strangely enough, I remember another fanbase who felt that way about another team, and eventually, it ended badly for them, very badly.
Particulary nauseating to me was a taunting column by the CHB a while back about how this is in the bag-- clearly meant to incite those LAAAAA of A and their ilk.
Don't get me wrong, I'm ready to watch and enjoy some of the self-destructive behavior I saw in from the Angels dugout in the last Sox-Angels series or two, but I think it is foolhardy to point and laugh and incite them.
I want them to feel our deep respect and admiration as a 'tough opponent' and let any fear and loathing well up from within them, when things start to go horribly wrong.
This is going to be a tough series--- a win tonight absolutely critical to making that conventional wisdom actually start to seem conventional.
I personally welcome with open arms the return of playoff Francona and the slow recovery of Manny Delcarmen.

He is too ugly to sign. And as a pitcher - lots of face time. It's no good.

Be more nervous about the game than this. I mean CBEC lost a bunch of my shit and I had to resubmit it this week, so at least there is a competent organization running this operation.

I'm glad to not see Napoli. Not clear as to why Drew is hitting 8th. Probably Tito's way of getting him more RBI opportunities.
