Its been a great regular season, with all the ups, downs, and ups again.

Now on to the playoffs. Let's win it all.

Gentlemen, ladies, it has been a true privilege sharing this season's water, both dirty and clean, with you. See you in the postseason and beyond.

I'm sad it's over. It feels like April was about a month ago.

95 wins and a playoff berth is a good year.

Sure looks like Lowrie's pain extends beyond check swings. It was pretty undeniable he was in quite a bit of pain on that HR swing. Nice result today and all, but is a utility role, this month, worth jeopardising next year and beyond? Maybe it isn't the way the docs are looking at it, but this wrist thing has now lingered and if it's an issue next year, well, he ain't getting any younger. As careful as they are with their pitching, they have continually brought back Lowrie too quick or let him play in pain. Sometimes the docs have to tell the young kid he can't play.

95 wins again! The Sox fans are lucky and hope a sense of entitlement doesnt spread rampant like it did with the spanky universe during the late 90's, unfortunately it's something that comes with all the W's.

Set the fucking tone Lester.

I am sad, yet excited at the same time.

This organization is truly remarkable. Since Theo took over in 2003, he has achieved his goal of 95 wins and a playoff berth every year except 2006. And even then, the team had to be decimated by injuries to fall to 86 wins. We're blessed to have such great management for our team.

11 to go.

I love this game and this team and this silly place.

I can't wait for Thursday... the greatest days of the entire year lay just ahead of us.

Yes, but the right time to do that would have been May 2008 when he first did the damage and the bone could have healed in place. Now the bone is gone, the wrist is reforming, and there's a significant chance that he's damaged goods. If so, he's worth spending now; even if he's not, how great is the risk of incremental damage? We don't really know, and the answer isn't high-probability, or the team would have shut him down back in July. It's the playoffs, and lots of things get risked for a competitive edge.

Why are they so dead-set on using Buchholz number three? He has shit his pants altogether lately and Dice K has looked excellent no matter who he has faced. This is far too risky for my liking.

If Dice-K starts, the probability of Tek starting the game rises significantly.. One shit beats the possible duo shits.

Because that's how they set it up, and they don't panic and change all their plans at the last minute over the results of 2 games.

A roller coaster at times, but overall this has been a great season.

95 wins and a chance at a world series.

Can't ask for more.

With their 95th win today, the Red Sox finish the decade of the 00's with a regular season record of 920-699. Only New York had more regular season wins this decade than the Red Sox.

Not bad. Not bad at all.

because there was no Year Zero don't decades end after the "0"?.... that would give us the 2010 season left to play.

So, you'd consider 1990 to be part of the 80s?
