I'd like 5 clean innings from Mr. B.
I'd like the Indians to only throw 100 pitches as a team.
I'd like no more injuries.
Is Woodward back from the baby yet? We need him to play 2nd, SS and 3rd today.

They'll wait until midnight to call the game so they can collect as much concessions revenue as possible.

I'd hope they cancel it entirely. It's a meaningless game and the possible negative impact of a freak injury on the wet field to their playoff chances isn't worth one day of regular season revenue. Although that's easy to say when I'm not the one passing up a couple million dollars.

Beckett and Buchholz can use the tuneups - even if they are limited to 80 pitches. Also, the Sox need to have a metric to choose btwn Buchholz and Dice-K. I root for two 5-inning games.

These final games (like I said yesterday), I assume that the post-season roster guys who can benefit by rest will rest, the post-season guys who can benefit by playing will play, and everyone else will just shut up and do as they're told.

I don't think there is any decision to be made between Buch and DiceK, I think it's pretty certain that Buch is #3 and Dice #4.

so basically the top 5/6 will likely get 2 ABs and then get pulled, thus the front-loading?

They will play and it should be through your area fairly quickly. Could be a rain delay later when the tail end of the system moves through Boston.

I am watching it on NESN+ (TWC channel 9 York County Maine)
Edit: Of course right now you are not missing anything as Beckett is getting shelled in the first.

The out of area NESN feed is on 732, that's what I've got in on. Not sure if it'll work for you where you are.

Edit: I'll be very curious how he pitches in innings 3-5 when he has shaken off the rust, worked up/into a rhythm, and not gotten too tired.

I live in Western Mass and Ch 732 works for me... but I'm just wondering how the heck anyone was supposed to figure that out - NESN told us to go to nesn.com to find the station for NESN Plus, which I did and was directed to Ch 629, where i was asked to pay $24... how was anyone supposed to know about Ch 732? - don't they want us to watch these games?

It's a meaningless, game, which means we can expect Hernandez to do a good job with balls and strikes.
