Indian giving is a form of stealing unsure.gif

Fuck the word filter and the faggot dopes that put them in.

Edit: Wow! What an offensive word filter. Who put that in.

Nice 2 bagger by Vic the Stick.

Doesn't look like he's got the A fastball tonight, or his best control either, BUT his off speed stuff is looking good and keeping em off balance.
I'm starting to feel encouraged.

No. Why? I think he's only the first Navajo, there have been other Native American ball players.

As a reminder, Joba Chamberlain is considered Native America(Winnebago).

*- To easy

As a mildly interesting (to me) aside, the word Winnebago is actually a slur used by a neighboring nation and it means something like "stinky fish people". The people of that area refer to themselves as Hochunk. A name that really calls to mind Joba's mom.

First Native Major Leaguer was Louis "Chief" Sockalexis from Old Town, Maine.
Possibly the reason why Cleveland is called the Indians...
wiki page on him is sad/interesting.

The Indians have a ton of young players but how many of them are considered to have high upside? I know Laporta was thought of highly but I have no idea who these other guys are.

Nothing has really gone wrong... several warning track flyballs... he looked better in the 3rd... some of us are probably overreacting to some minor control issues and maybe 1 or 2 MPH velocity.

edit: 'some of us' mainly referring to me.

Nicknamed 'Chief', or 'The Deerfoot of The Diamond"

Sockalexis was a Penobscot from Maine who played for the Cleveland Spiders 1887-1889.

Also, he hit before the pitcher in the NL, and he hits before Ellsbury now. If you put any faith at all in lineup protection, then that has to mean a lot.
