Is it any different from .235 Ortiz hitting ahead of .290 Lowell?
Either the NESN chiron was wrong or my husband is going blind.

He's still a Yankee fan, right? You do that shit for too long and you go blind.
Yankee fan is wrong

Solidly enough hit for a two-bouncer, and yes I know the name for the play you describe, as does everybody else here.
When Buchholz can hit the top edge of the strike zone with a slider, I'm pretty pleased about his command of the pitch. There's credit to be given to the batter for getting on top of that pitch if the runner wasn't stealing on his own. This is a cluster of sliders I think Sox fans can be very happy with.

They'll need him because if the MFYs choose the series with the day off, the Sox are stuck with having to go with 4 starters provided the series goes that far.

Which former Royal will help their team the most in the playoffs?
a.) Damon with the Y's
b.) De La Rose with the Rox's
c.) Ibanez with the Phil's
d.) Ramirez with the Sox
Ouch.
Raul is the quick leader out of the gates, gathering 67% of the votes.

You don't think they'll need him if they only have to go with 3 starters?
Someone should start a poll.

KC may be one of those stadiums a little on the fast side: Greinke and Beckett were throwing also lots of 97s. Buchholz does seem to be throwing very well.

Did you see the NESN info, by the way, and 2) when does this batting tee start giving up a few runs to his esteemed opponents, the Boston REd Sox?

unfortunately I will have to because I was "catching up" after pausing and going to walk the dog. Then I pushed the wrong button on the remote and the channel changed......grrrrrrrrrrr
I'm happy to hear that he got the feel for the curve back.
Consistently 97 is something else. He's rounding into form at just the right time.

Someone should start a poll.
They need him and they need him to be throwing extremely well because they'll need a strong 3 because the number 4 starter Dice-K is still hit or miss (pun intended).

Man, I love the new Red Sox.
Ellsbury doing that is something that I haven't seen my whole lifetime with the Sox until Coco, and Ells is bringing it to a new level with smarts and speed.

The ump tossed him? Donald didn't even get in an F-bomb and the think-skinned ump tossed him. Jesus.
