I believe the ump is blind.

Bowden is probably better than Byrd regardless, but there's no reason not to start him if they're conceding the division.

Odds of scoring enough runs off Greinke to win this game?

This strike zone is fucking bizarre. It's the size of a Hallmark card, roughly shaped like a metastatic prostate.

You know pilots occasionally show up to work drunk, which is insane, since you'll kill not only all the passengers but yourself as well.

Who's to say this umpire isn't totally shitfaced right now....

6 run inning last night, 5 run inning tonight...against the fucking Royals.

This team got close to the division, but apparently the B pitching staff doesn't want any part of it.

Optimism time. Greinke is no Pedro. His ERA needs to go up quite a bit before he leaves in the 4th down 8-5.

And Bowden was spent yesterday -- we don't even have the pale hope of an interesting pitcher in long relief.

Ridiculous. With our financial flexibility and minor league resources we should never have a guy like this pitching in the middle of a pennant race. Management is more concerned about the bottom line than winning. They are making tons of money and we have to watch Paul Byrd pitch. I'd rather give Bowden the innings.
