I hate the situation that allows red sox fans to come here and take over our park. That's Angelo's fault. Not the fans who take advantage of it. My daughter wanted to go to one last game this year. I look at the schedule, and even though this sox series was the most convenient, I don't even consider it. The humiliation is too much too bear.
The Sox are 54-17 over the O's in the last 4 seasons, not including today

How about Dice-K since the DL return? He's looked in WBC form; awfully impressive, I must say.

They haven't been good for awhile, but if any of these young SP pan out, they have a great young core with Markakis and Wieters and Adam Jones. As they flush the mediocre veterans out of their roster, they should really improve.

And this underscores his point: For years Angelo hasn't built a team that has given Baltimore much to cheer for.
He's not being sour about the Sox, but about the O's.

I think Bay has recovered from his flu-like symptoms.
In other news we have a smooth and flashy middle infield.
I saw the grip on the screw-change at 81, which had visible fade and drop on it. it resembled one last seen in some of the Matsuzaka .gifs from the Japanese leagues. Definitely at least three fingers on the ball, probably four, with a slight gap between middle and ring fingers, hence the Vulcan change:

I agree with this. Outside of acquiring a Hanley Rameriz type, I would love it if we just resigned Gonzo to team up at SS with Lowrie.

A Lowrie/Gonzalez platoon is starting to make a lot of sense.

Only way this could work is if they get rid of Ortiz and DH Bay. Otherwise there's not enough room in the outfield for both until Drew is gone. And while it would be nice to add another slugger to the current roster like that, I don't see them spending the money to land both. One, yes... both is stretching it, though. They're probably more likely to pick up one of the two and explore the trade market for another slugger.

I totally agree - I was just trying to show the extent of the Sox's dominance over the O's recently. I live in Baltimore too and work with plenty of depressed O's fans!

Seriously. This to me is better than last year and he won 18 games last year. No more of this 30 pitches per inning bullshit.
Edit - Knock on wood.

They're trying to stretch him out. Besides, he's looked decent. The high count seems like it has more to do with the Orioles working him than nibbling. I bet we see him back out, maybe with someone warming.

Wow that chart is great. You see the complete lack of any dots in the top right corner. It is interesting to see the fact that it seemingly took an inning for him to loosen up a bit, then he gained a little bit of velocity on the fastball.
