Well, at least that wouldn't have scored a run or anything.

Someone needs to talk to Pedroia about his awful baserunning.

I am the leader of the "Pedroia sucks at baserunning" bandwagon. But assuming Demarlo sent him there, you cant pin that one on Dustin. I assume he wasnt totally full speed until it was clear Pie wouldn't catch it.

Nice sac fly Youks . . . er, nevermind

edit: funny typo

NESN wide shot clearly showed Demarlo Sveum waving him in with gusto.

Awful.

We absolutely need to get a new 3rd base coach this winter.

And the squander of that inning is complete. Thanks Demarlo.

Thats the exact spot where you DON'T advance. If he stays at third, you have second and third, NO OUTS. Anything scores the run. Anything. Instead, its a runner on second and one out and we mightwill not score at all.

Yeah, the guy messes up once every 50 games. Give me a break. There's a better chance Hale is managing this team next season.

Well, that blew. DeMarlo is usually great...every 3rd base coach fucks up occasionally, give him a break!

They should've released Hale mid-inning.

Yes I would agree with this. He screws up once in a while but you don't see the glaring lack of judgement that Sveum had.

Seems like it's going in that direction. It should be 6-1 or 7-1 now, but they've definitely let Guthrie off the hook so far. He's thrown a shitload of hittable pitches up in the zone, but they haven't really gotten to him yet, except for Victor's double and Bay's homer. Might just be one of those bad RISP nights we see every so often.
