Yeah Tito's new found love of bunting is certainly a disturbing development. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the playoffs.

Usually having Gonzalez bunt is a good idea, but you don't do it when both starters suck.

Well if Byrd coughs up a few runs here at least we'll be able to use MDC in a Low Lev. situation. This is a classic white flag game anyway. We got a W last night without Youk and V-Mart. We won't keep getting away with that.

Next innings they will demonstrate how to squander a leader off triple.

But the big whopper with be the fifth when they squander a lead off homerun.

But the great thing about "Anticipating" a loss is that you're really pleasantly surprised if they win. You don't have to have as much of an emotional investment in the game! Try it sometime. It cuts down on the screaming at the TV. Works for me.

BaBIP giveth, and BaBIP taketh away.

Perhaps we should try not getting the lead off man on next inning and see how that works for us.

It does matter. Needs to be intentional.

Edit....... I don't see this particular lineup doing much tonight.

I believe Scocia had an argument. Not for catcher's interference, but for returning the runner to second base.

"If a batter strikes at a ball and misses and swings so hard he carries the bat all the way around and, in the umpire’s judgment, unintentionally hits the catcher or the ball in back of him on the backswing before the catcher has securely held the ball, it shall be called a strike only (not interference). The ball will be dead, however, and no runner shall advance on the play."
