I think I'm trying to say that I love MVPedROYia but he has taken on the MYSTIQUE and AURA of Tek and Trot.

Think aout it.

I'm really not following the argument you're making here--what do you think should be expected of him going forward?

I think he's saying Pedey goes to strip clubs? I'm a bit confused myself.

No. That's not it. For fear of starting another long and silly Jeter like argument, I just simply have to disagree with this. Posada's been better offensively sure, but defensively Posada has never been very good, where Tek once was great.

They need to take three quick outs here.

Edit--Wiktor clearly got the memo.

I can see the argument to keep the workload light on Beckett in a game like this, but at the same time you hate to pull him too soon when he's finally in a good groove.

Yeah, it's really pouring here in Dorchester....if it's anything like this over at Fenway, they won't be playing much longer.

Now get through the top of the fifth so if the rain doesn't let up you'll still get the win.

First, I love the man, but mostly because he has a "B" on his hat. Some critiques: His baserunning sucks. the bunt attempt tonight was his idea (my opinion) and his execution sucked... on top of the fact that a bunt was a stupid play.
Overall, I fear that Pedey is destined to become an Eckstein with more talent... and I would hate that.

Unless his career .823 OPS will drop over 100 points... I don't think he's going to resemble Eckstein, except in height.

There's no defending his baserunning, we agree on that. I haven't done a close mental inventory, but I'd be hard pressed to come up with another everyday player who's demonstrably worse. But he's never going to be Eckstein, since, on the whole, he is very good at baseball whereas Eckstein is not. Pedey would have to run his talent odometer in reverse for 10-12 years before he looked like Eckstein.
