Josh Beckett has pitched like crap in his last four outings. Josh Beckett is not a crappy pitcher. He will pitch uncrappy this afternoon and the Sox will salvage a series split.

Red Sox! Red Sox!
Go-Go Red Sox!
Let's go, Go-Go Red Sox
We're with you all the way!
You're always in there fighting,
And you do your best.
We're glad to have you out there in the Middle West.
We're gonna root-root-root-root Red Sox.
And cheer you on to victory.
When we're in the stands,
We'll make those rafters ring;
All through the season,
You will hear us sing.
Let's go, Go-Go Red Sox,
Chicago's proud of you!

I can't wait for playoff Josh Beckett to arrive.

And he WILL arrive. Make no mistake about that.

Until then, I'd settle for better than the pale hose Beckett. I'm predicting 7ip, 3er, 7 hits, 2 bb's 8 k's and a 5-3 Our Sox win.

If Daubach's in the broadcast booth again today, we win!

If not....I hope we win.

How long does a typical bout of tired arm take to run its course? I hope it's four starts. Considering Beckett's last four starts his peripherals are still outstanding. It's time for results to be outstanding too.

Be heavily involved in winning today.

I'm looking forward to being at the game today.

However, White Sox fans can be dicks when their team is winning. Please Josh, don't let me be surrounded by a bunch of dickness. Need to salvage the split and show that good Josh is back.

An appropriate day off for Ortiz despite his numbers vs. Buehrle. This was my lineup of choice - gives Martinez' knees a rest, and prevents Drew from breaking.

I've been at work for just under 6 hours, the A/C is off in the building, and Dunkin' was closed this morning when I came in. I need a serious pick-me-up. A win would be just that.

I waited 15 minutes at Dunkin on Saturday, and now they're taking Labor Day off? Unacceptable, Dunkin. Unacceptable.

Kind of. They're in a building food court that was closed to the public for the day. It's weird, though, because it is usually open just for Dunkin' on weekends.

Hopefully Beckett can build off his good end to the Tampa game. If he hits his spots and keep it down, he will win.

Pedal to the metal, Josh - time to get your groove back and kick their sorry asses down for good. Heads up play behind the once, and future Ace, guys - and a nice slew of hits early and often.

GO SOX - WIN TODAY!

Ha, while I understand your point, the route from 15-501 to Erwin Road to DD is direct, avoiding all the potential ghettoness. They've actually turned that area (Erwin Road) into a pretty nice spot, between Towerview Drive and the Duke Hospital. You should check it out, if only for the DD. You don't even have to pass through campus, if that makes you feel any better.
