I hate this god damn soap box of a ballpark too. The Sox played in two of the shittiest parks in baseball in my opinion on this trip

This is on me. I'm the jackass who brought up how great he's been this year just before he stepped on the mound.

At this point this is just an anecdotal observation, but it does seem to me that Pedroia has not been patient at all in the last ten games or so and that is starting to take it's toll on the offense and on his overall numbers.

He needs to get back to seeing some pitches for everybody and himself.

His power is virtually nonexistent, and opposing pitchers know this. Throw him anything on the outer-half and you've effectively limited what he can do.

How did it take this long though for pitchers to figure out how to pitch Pedroia outside? He obviously can't do much with that out there.

This old fart has watched a crapload of baseball, and that was one of the best defensive plays I've ever seen in my life. It's easily the best double-play I've ever watched.

Well maybe I'm partial, but I'd take him over Cano, Iwamura (or whoever Tampa has out there right now), and him and Hill would be a push for me. About the only one I'd say is clearly better is Roberts.

I'd take him over Hill going forward, but Cano is having a better season than Pedroia's MVP year. As it stands, Pedroia's been the fourth best 2B in the division (so far). I'd probably take Pedroia over Roberts for the future, too.

You're partial. Cano has absolutely been the better player this season. Going forwad, who knows? But right now I take Cano if given the choice.

The Red Sox are lucky as hell that the Rangers went to Baltimore and layed an even bigger egg than they did this weekend.

Now 3-0 O's. 1st and 3rd, nobody out.
