At this point this is just an anecdotal observation, but it does seem to me that Pedroia has not been patient at all in the last ten games or so and that is starting to take it's toll on the offense and on his overall numbers.

He needs to get back to seeing some pitches for everybody and himself.

His power is virtually nonexistent, and opposing pitchers know this. Throw him anything on the outer-half and you've effectively limited what he can do.

I'd take him over Hill going forward, but Cano is having a better season than Pedroia's MVP year. As it stands, Pedroia's been the fourth best 2B in the division (so far). I'd probably take Pedroia over Roberts for the future, too.
