Getting curb-stomped again by a team that has supposedly given up. Great job guys.

Man... this is the first baseball game I've gotten to watch in 2 months, but these FOX announcers are just awful.

On the bright side, Wakefield is getting pretty good movement on his knuckler.

The Yankees had real issues at this place, too. Double digit beat downs for 3 games, then just barely won the 4th on Melky's cycle day. ChiSox have been hard in the Windy City, no?

Are we suppose to feel good cause Wake only gave up three? I think i do but not sure what I'm feeling anymore. We are a decent looking playoff team that will have trouble getting there.

Opponents are going to run all over Tek and Martinez in the postseason. The scouts for LAA or NY are probably laughing as they watch this.

So, Floyd basically shows two pitches, a 94 mph fastball and a 79 mph change and Papi manages to be both unable to catch up to the former or wait for the latter.

I was thinking this team had turned some kind of corner after taking 2 of 3 from the Rays. Guess not. Lack of pitching will do that to a team I guess.

I got 2:

tvants://list.tvants.com/tvants/?k=3685912168d3b3e2eac87aba55148f22

YWw=

Hopefully these work. I can't find anything else, either. If not, I'm horribly sorry.

At this point, would Smoltz and Penny be better than Byrd and Wakefield? I'm serious, the latter two have been arguably worse, if it's possible.

It's more fun to watch Ken Holtzman pitch for the '74 A's, right now.

Who's going to take his spot?

The Sox need this guy to step up and I expect Wakefield to be serviceable as long as he's physically able to be on the mound.

So if Beckett doesn't get over his injury or whatever by the time he starts Monday we could be looking at losing 3 of 4 to the White Flags. Ugh.

When you're relying on Paul Byrd and a cortisone-filled Tim Wakefield to win big September games for you, well you're fucked. They're average age is 40

Note to Nick Green.
Unlike with Heidi, when bunting for a basehit, you don't want to go hard up the middle.
