Well someone had to start the damn thread, even if this game will turn out to be nothing more than:

Seattle is going to lose either way, but we can at least hope that the game is delayed another hour or two and the Mariners get into Boston late.

Don't worry they already have a decent amount of games they have make up and take away from days off.

EDIT: Actually I think it's only about 3 or 4. My memory failed me, I thought it was like 6 or 7. oh well.

It won't matter if King Felix is already resting at their hotel in Boston. So much for the Sox missing all the top pitchers. Now the situation has been reversed.

Today's rain has been schitzophrenic, biblical, and ridiculous down here, even for summer storms. It cuts on and off instantly like a switch was being flicked incessantly. It also has that Charlie Brown quality where it's sunny and blue a block away from cats-and-dogs sideways torrents with black as pitch clouds. There's also thunder and lightning in the last hour.

Maybe some rain delays will force CC out of the game after an inning and we can usher in the Tomko era in July. Maybe the precipitation and the subway trains will trick Seattle into thinking they're at home. But then I think of the flash-frying humidity and the Sexy Bronxy Jetstream™ and realize the only Charlie Brown clouds will be the ones over the Mariners' heads.

It's unreal how many easy opponents the Yankees get.

What fucking bullshit. I hope somebody does something about this with the league. It's just flat out unfair.

Overslid the bag. Jesus...These teams are all the same; no punch, eh bullpen and maybe 1 star along with a whole bunch of AAAA fodder and stupid players. I would say that summarizes about 24 teams, at least.

I see more and more base stealers making that mistake. Thats the last thing you should do is over slide the bag. Ellsbury used to do it a ton, he's since corrected it. Drives me fucking crazy.

I'm just amused that Johjima scored uncontested on a SF that was caught about 60 feet behind 3B.

I'm gonna show my ignorance here. A knee touching the bag is no good? It has to be a hand?
