Wow, a legit home run out of Coors Field East. Haven't seen one of those in a while!

Doesn't that kind of crap constitute "Bending over"?

Man I DID NOT want to go there.

A-Rod is such a strange guy - I have never seen anyone look so disinterested after a home run. Not angry, not irritated, not anything, just completely ambivalent. Really strange.

She's less Goldie now, and more Kurt Russell paternal looking in her dotage (Kurt's not her father).
To sum up = just tranny enough.

Michael Kay's such a homer. He gets in a dig at the Red Sox, every time someone else in the booth mentions them.

O'Neil: Red Sox ended up coming back and winning that one.
Kay: It took them 11 innings.

Exactly. You gotta believe no Red Sox fans were bragging about beating the O's or claiming that was an indication of what kind of team they are.

I don't understand why Yankees fans are so sensitive to the fact that they're beating bad teams. I'm sure they don't believe the Mets and Mariners are good teams.

1) Who is a good team exactly? The list is pretty short this year.

2) Both Seattle and the Mets have taken series from Boston this season.

No one's out here puffing out their chests, dude. You out there and beat whoever is playing against you - and you don't make apologies for it.

Yankee fans take exception to the idea that only the teams they beat suck. Newsflash: The Yankees and Red Sox play almost exactly the same schedule. Except that the Yankees always play 6 games against the Mets - who are usually one of the best (if not the best) team in the NL East.

You don't seem to know much about baseball - and even less about the Yankees.

Girardi was going to use Coke for the lefties, and didn't want to use Hughes for 1 batter.

Maybe you should read more and post a little less, huh?

Dude, no reason to get so upset that you resort to personal attacks. This is the internet.

The Yankees have yet to use Hughes as the 8th inning guy. If they were comfortable with him in that role, they'd probably put him out there and not have to worry about the lefty/righty matchups. A set up guy gets the outs, regardless of what side of the plate the batters are on.

It does, but the earlier Red Sox thread was nothing to write home about. My man rembrat was a rare voice of sanity through the first eight innings.

A-Rod locked in ever since he tied Reggie Jackson on the HR list.

Just because a team wins one series doesn't mean they're good. Look at the Nats/Yankees series. And to be fair, the Mets still had Beltran in their lineup and were playing alright when they faced the Red Sox.

As for decent teams (no one's complaining that the Yankees aren't facing GOOD teams), I'd say everyone in the AL East but Baltimore, Detroit, Minny, maybe Chicago and the Angels.
