It's a tie game, not like I'm making excuses. The Mets and Mariners are not good teams. I don't really much debate about that.

Are the Orioles a good team?

And the answer is: Never. When the Yankees play a team, any team (other than the Red Sox), they are not a major league team. Or that team is "rolling over".

Coming up..... Toronto, Tampa Bay and The Angels. That will do. Let's see how long the "Roll" continues".

You don't say Paul?

Yes, prepare for a torrent of meaningless stats.

Hey now! The win percentage of a team when a single player is in the lineup or based on the geographic location of one fan are far from meaningless.

The Mets are in their own special class.

Does Dutchy know the Sox play Seattle next?

Someone tell him.

Paul O'Neill is terrible in the booth.

Look I'm not saying the Mets or Mariners or Braves are top notch major league teams. What I'm saying is if the yankees win any series against the upcoming teams, there will be plenty of moaning around these parts about how those teams are "rolling over" for the Yanks.

Well, to be fair, I thought the same thing about the Sox/Orioles game yesterday.

Until the 7th inning at least.

And I felt the same about that Yankees/Nats series until... well...

Maybe there will, I'm new here. But I guarantee I won't complain about the Yankees facing a bad team if they face a team playing decently in a decent division. But the Mets with half their team on the DL and the Mariners who are a couple games over .500 in the AL West are some pretty soft competition.

You better believe I wasn't bragging about taking a series from the O's either. There's nothing wrong with admitting you aren't playing a playoff contender every game.

I haven't seen him play much. I know he has something like 6 home runs at home and 1 on the road, so I was wondering if he was hitting any to left field or if they were all right field shots.

7th HR at Coors East for Melky. He only has 1 other HR anywhere else. He's seemingly the most valuable trade chip if the Yankees need to move someone, which will suck (for him) if he gets traded to an unjetstreamed park.

Ok. I wasn't sure if they were applying any Joba type rules with him.

He only threw 8 pitches in his inning last night, I figure he would be ok to go tonight.
