Mission accomplished but there's just too much blood in the water...that's not good for our fishy friends.

I don't know if there's too much blood in the water as I sort of like blood.

My bigger concern is that there will be too much water in the air and on the field.

Will Tito succumb to his worst instincts and play Lugo tonight?

Youks has looked dreadful lately so I expected a Mark Kotsay sighting tonight.

It would be a perfect time for Papi playing first for 2/3 in NATSTOWN. But this could be a good start.

Odds on tonight's game getting in/being completed?

Youks will be fine.

Calling Guapo and other Fenway employees for any early notice on cancellation. There are quite a number of us with long drives that if we could get any early confirmation on cancellation, well it would be greatly appreciated.

It doesn't look like there is any chance this gets in, the US Open is already affected by this deluge, it just looks constant and heavy. But since this is the only time the Marlins are in town, we know that they will try to get it in.

I was looking forward to seeing Hanley in person. So far this Spring/Summer weather has sucked.

Unlikely that it's called before 7 given that it's the only time this year that Florida will be in town.

Unfortunately, what's most likely going to happen is wait until 7, delay the game, try to find a gap between showers, and hope to get five innings in.

But yeah, odds of this game actually happening look very low.

great, perfect game to have two extra tix that I was hoping to sell in the scalp free zone.... I guess Ill have a little buffer zone between seats!

Has anyone had any luck in the scalp free zone the past few weeks? I've used it in the past but not yet this year.

For what it is worth, when I checked the weather before heading to work this morning it was supposed to be raining by 9 am and wasn't. Right now the weather forecast says that it should be raining, and it isn't. In fact, while it is somewhat overcast, I can see the sky over Fenway from my window and it doesn't look that bad. Granted, we are hours from game time, and I am sure that it will be raining by then, but I don't see the big, dark clouds on the horizon that suggest really heavy rain; there is even a little clear sky in some places. My guess would be a light-medium rain falling pretty consistently from afternoon through the evening, but I bet that they can get at least 5 innings in, even if they aren't comfortable.

Of course, an hour from now the situation will probably have changed greatly.

I sold tickets there Tuesday night. There were six or eight buyers waiting at 5:15pm. I had a nice GS pair and sold 'em immediately. Of course, whether that's relevant on a night where it'll probably be raining is doubtful.

(Best of all--I sold 'em because I've had a lot of games of late and I'd snagged a field box pair for tonight . So I'm expecting this will be an epic rain and delays event where it's always at least drizzling and the game goes until 2:30am.)

If the rain that hit Bethpage hits Fenway, they'll need Santiago's boat to get this one in
