Make them fear the Red Sox of Boston, Santiago.

Ted approves....
Where there is much desire to learn, there of necessity will be much arguing, much writing, many opinions; for opinions in good men is but knowledge in the making.
- John Milton

I like to think I am simultaneously mature and enlightened enough to see the reasoned arguments on both sides of this while simultaneously immature enough to think almost everything about this story is funny.
- Super Nomario

Pedroia: David is fine. He's our teammate and we believe in him. It could have been me who hit into a double play. It is 60 at-bats. A couple of years ago I was hitting .180 [I forget the exact number] and everyone wanted to kill me. What happened?
Reporter: MVP
Pedroia: Laser show!

As Jose recalls from his ninth grade English class, pretty much all of literature, ergo all of human narrative, falls into one of four archetypes: romance, tragedy, comedy and satire. Jose is hard pressed to come up with anything that crosses into all four categories, save the romantic tragicomic farce of Manny Ramirez. --Jose Melendez

Interesting that they're moving Ellsbury up to 2nd in the lineup with a LHP on the mound.

Although looking at the stats, Miller has a big reverse split this year, so maybe that's the logic there. But given that, why Baldelli over Drew?

I'm assuming that Emilio is playing 3B. Otherwise I predict a lot of doubles.

Tito says Drew is fine, but with four straight RHP coming up he wanted to get Rocco in a game.

I'm fairly sure Drew is probably not 100% anyway, considering that he got a cortisone shot like 2 weeks ago.
In response, Veeck threatened to request an official ruling on whether Yankees shortstop and reigning MVP Phil Rizzuto was a short ballplayer or a tall midget.

When is Drew ever 100%, though?

You must have missed the fact that Rocco is from RI.
