Jimmy Buffet sucks. So does his beer. So does the stadium named after the beer. So do the baseball team that plays in the stadium named after the beer.

Parrothead Beer Stadium©, fuck the Marlins. Welcome to a real fucking baseball park.

"Let there be joy in baseball again, like in the days when Babe Ruth chased an enemy sportswriter down the streets of Boston and ended up getting drunk with him on the waterfront and came back the next day munching on hot dogs and boomed home runs to the glory of God."-- Jack Kerouac, 1959

Marlins, Braves,@Nationals, @Braves, @Orioles, Mariners, A's, and Royals.

Sox should be able to coast into the all star break with that schedule.

Today is 6/16. Regardless, the Sox will

"The path of the Red Sox fan is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the Yankees and the tyranny of Steinbrenners. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of Sellers, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of waiver wire bargains. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my prospects. And you will know my name is BABIP when I lay my vengeance upon thee." - Sprowl, Aug 6 2009 Game Thread

Wakefield has been pitching like shit ever since his hot start. Tonight would be a good night to turn it around.

I'm not sure if not facing a knuckleballer in quite some time helps or hurts the Marlins.

Why wouldn't Florida DH Hanley? They can't get any worse at SS in the field than him, right? Right?
“Everybody can be [expletive] happy when you’re [expletive] 30-1, but what is everybody going to do when we’re 12-14? Are you going to show up to work the next day and write an [expletive] story? Hell no. You’re going to write the best story of your life. We’re going to try and play the best [expletive] game of our life tomorrow. That’s what you’ve got to do when you’re 12-14. Don’t put your head down and mope. Grind it out. You believe. That’s what we’re built on.”
--Dustin Pedroia 5/4/10

They could aquire Nick Green or Julio Lugo.

Anyway, they'd probably be better off with Hanley at SS than Alfredo Amezaga's .217/.267/.261 bat in the lineup.

I think his numbers in the advanced metrics have jumped up into the average realm lately (2008-9)... which of course would be an improvement for the Sox right now.

Back on track and kick ass, guys. These may not be your Yanks or Phillies, but teams like the Marlins (and/or relatively unknown pitchers), seem to creep up on you and lull you into laxity [?]. Wakes - time to lead another surge forward. Papi - this is your month, pour it on. Time to heat up now, Pedey . . . really.

GO SOX - WIN TODAY!
