5/6/7 seeds TBD

Hawks have 102 points with one game left. 'Nucks have 100 and are done. But the 'Nucks get the 3 sed due to winnin the division. Discuss.

(and yes, the spelling of one was on purpose. It'll make sense when we get to round too.)

Thanks. That's what I get for trusting epsn.com. If only nhl.com wasn't a pain in my ass to use. They still have the Ducks and Blues tied with one game left for both.

They are. Anaheim has two more wins than STL, thus making it unpossible for the Blues to catch Anaheim.

Plus, the Quackers are guaranteed one point tonight anyways

San Jose vs. Anaheim

Detroit vs. Columbus

Vancouver vs. St. Louis

Chicago vs. Calgary

This is really showing the East/West physicality and defensive differences, in case you don't get to get to watch a lot of Western confrence hockey.

On a seperate note, Canadian commericals are awesome! Canadian commericals >>> American Commericals. Some of these are Super Bowl worthy, personally.

I've only been watching this game off and on, but what do you mean regarding the East vs. West style of defense? I don't get to watch must Western Conference hockey, so I'm definitely curious.

And the Canadian McDonald's commercials with the mini-goalie and mini-shooter are indeed genius. Better than "Radio" Robert, who has a shot you can hear but cannot see.

Blues give up a goal and the Versus bench reporter is talking to Jackman 30 seconds later asking WTF happened. Amazing.

More backchecking and forechecks. Hitting is more common, somewhat like Bruins style. Because of this, you have less (or more, depending on the teams) bogus calls, and calls in general. This is because it is expected. There is also typically a better skating ability, but, not always the fastest skaters are on the best teams. Best example is the Wings. Great skaters, but not especially fast ones. It is more of a playoff style, except throughout the year. In case you wanted to know, the team I watched in the West this year was the Sharks.

Woah, Roberto! What a save! Brilliant Vancouver playing tonight.

I don't mind it for soccer, but the Canucks fans have made me have a little less like for their team with an, "Ole, Ole, Ole!" chant. I thought only the Habs fans did that. I thought the rest of Canada was above that.

Has there been more power play time than even strength time? It sure as hell seems that way.

Regardless, that was an extremely entertaining period.

And I'm only talking about Lindsay Soto's camera time.

Anyone know if that Canadian chain 'Boston Pizza' (despite the name, it's not a pizza place, but a homestyle Italian food place) is as good as the stuff we have in the North End?

Poor Mike Milbury! He's on work overload.

Game misconduct to Johnson to end the 1st period! Hordichuk has just gotten one, too.

Outside of the stuff at the end, penalties being added by the minute, to answer Johnny's question, there have been 5(!!) minors in the first period. So, thus, equal strength time has equaled PP/PK time. Yay for old-fashioned and playoff style hockey!

Another penalty? This is stupid.

This has been covered before. "Boston Pizza" is a cruel joke played upon the many fine immigrants to western Canada from the greater Boston area. It is a hateful tease - and an awful establishment. Boston Pizza in Regina = Bad, Pizzaria Regina in Boston = Good.

After Boyes scored, the color guy on VS just informed me that the key to the goal was a "re-purposed entree" (I re-wound it 10x to be sure.)

I have no idea what that means, but I'm just going to assume a microwave would be involved.

I watched the last matchup of the season between the Sharks and Ducks. It didn't end on a friendly note...Perry punched Bouche while he was behind him in the net and then whacked the shit outta Vlasic's (I think) head! Paros and Shelley have definite history between them as well...this should be a very physical series. Sharks will take it!!! I think Thorty is going to have a huge playoffs!!! Sharks!!!!

4-1 Detroit right now and Osgood and the defense looks surprisingly strong so far. I would not be surprised if Columbus came back and made this a series, especially considering how good Mason is, but as of right now, they look a little overmatched.

If you're not watching this Hawks/Flames game, turn it on. Havlat just tied it with 5 mins to go in the 3rd. Great playoff hockey here. Pulling for the Blackhawks in this series, I can't root for the Flames as long as Bertuzzi is on the team.

I have mixed loyalties in this series. Yes, I was watching the Hawks- another awesome game tonight! I want the Flames, to have my playoffs prediction to come true, but, in a potential Stanley Cup final, I'd rather have the B's face the 'Hawks, because of the Original 6 fun that becomes a factor.

I agree with all of you on which game is better for tonight.
