In Rask We Trust. Please beat the Rags. And please start Tuukka.
Also, can you make this one a little easier than the last few? You've been shaky PSK, I expect more from you.

However, I have faith in his abilities, much like the faith I have in Krejci to lead us. PSK will not let us down.
Enough with this OT/SO bullshit.
Win, win convincingly.

Post it anyway, can't leave us hanging like that.I had a great opening post to lead off this gamethread if the tribe voted against PSK.

Post it anyway, can't leave us hanging like that.
You asked for it:
My fellow citizens:
I stand here today humbled by the task before me, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank PedroSpecialK for his service to our messageboard, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.
Seven posters have now started a game thread. The posts have been written during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the post is written amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, the Bruins have carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in on the first line, but because We the Posters have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding gamethreads.
So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Posters.
That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. We've lost 3 of our last 5 games, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our team health was badly weakened, a consequence of mono and errant slapshots on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the gamethreads for a new age. Games have been lost; powerplays turned up empty; Tim Thomas sucking. Our defenses lapses are too costly; our penalty kill fails too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we used blow out our opponents is no longer.
Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many.
They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, SoSH - they will be met. On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
Perhaps its fate that today is the 30th of January, and we will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from the Devils, the Capitals, or the Blues -- but from the Rangers.
We're fighting for our right to win, to lead the East.
And should we win the day, the 31st of January will no longer be known as an Bruins holiday, but as the day when SoSH declared in one voice:
We will not go quietly into the night!
We will not vanish without a fight!
We're going to live on!
We're going to survive!"
Saturday, we celebrate victory over the Rangers!!!

I officially vote for TSC to start the next round of gamethreads. If anybody else steps in, I will be highly disappointed. This is a gamethread performance like none other.

Tim Thomas fatigue is alive and strong. Bring us Tuukka.
The only thing that gives me more pleasure than a win over Les Scabs is a win over the Blueshirts. Get it done, boys.
P.S: no overtime/shootout kthx

for the record, my 6 game agate total vs. TSC is 24-0 now. Ouch.
24-0-6 to be exact.
24 goals for, 0 goals against, and 6 times shot down.

Ahem, until he goes on an impressive winning streak, I don't know how you can say that. TFP had what? A 12 game winning streak? Let's see 6 in a row, then we'll start talking.I officially vote for TSC to start the next round of gamethreads. If anybody else steps in, I will be highly disappointed. It's Thomas's fault.I will be there tomorrow as well and they better win this one. The Bruins have been making me a little nervous of late with their non-capability of holding a late lead. WIN!

I'm looking forward to the Swedish meatball in goal for the Rags getting beat by a few meatballs himself. Including one from PJ.
Yes, you read correctly, I am calling for a PJ goal.

Weird, I've never heard of a team pulling the goalie in OT.You know what? I'm on that bandwagon as of now. He buries a sweet feed from Stephane Yelle as time expires in OT to win it.
#33
Posted 30 January 2009 - 12:03 PM
Can we make it in regulation, instead of OT? I don't want them getting a point. You know what? I'm on that bandwagon as of now. He buries a sweet feed from Stephane Yelle as time expires in OT to win it.
Edit: Outstanding FL4WL3SS.

Someone on HF actually told a hilarious story yesterday. He was at one of the Bruin meet and greets and he pretty much hates what Axelsson brings to the table. So Axe walks by them, and his friend tells Axelsson this guy is his biggest fan but is too shy to ask for a picture. So naturally, Axe puts his arm around him and gets the picture taken. You won't make much money, we know she doesn't give head in a car.
Comedy.

It's Thomas's fault.
Yes, yes it is.
All joking aside though I would like to see Rask in there Saturday give Thomas a break. When the hell is Fernandez going to get healthy, this injury has lingered way too long for it to be minor.
