Congrats to Carmen - we all know how badly he wanted this victory (if it holds up.)

Twenty-six players put points on the board, the exact same number as last year. Rasputin wins the low point booby prize with 13 - and Pedro1918 receives an honorary Oscar for having the Charlton Heston/Paul Newman Hollywood Daily Double.

Rules:

1) List a 10 person 'active roster' you think will die in 2009.

2) When they die - you get points, 100 minus their age.

3) Bonus points - claim 10 extra points if you are the only person who has the dead guy on their list.

4) Double Points for deaths in December 2009 (double the age points, not the 10 solo points). This will make the game interesting with come-from-behind possibilities.!!

5) Double Points if you have two entries that pass on the same calendar date. The date in the time zone where the death occurred will be the determinant factor.

6) Taxi squad - list an extra two people for your 'taxi squad.' - If someone on your list dies, you can move a member of your taxi squad to your active roster. You only get points for your active roster. If someone on your taxi squad dies, too bad.

7) Deadline - posts must be dated or last edited in 2008.

8) Scoring - keep your own fucking score. If someone on your list dies, claim the points with a post on this thread that is a reply to your original list, or your most recent points claim. Make your taxi squad move at the time of the points claim.

9) Executions - No one who dies due to the sentence of a court will qualify. This is the "Chemical Ali" rule and is new this year.
