FWIW...in an interview I saw for the first time today, Phelps was convinced that the 7th gold wasnt going to happen after he won the 6th...he was physically as tired as he could ever remember being, and even his coach said, watching his body language he was sure that he would not contend for that one....but Phelps gutted it out, and credited the short arm by Cavic for being the final break he needed...

He basically said the same thing in an interview with 60 Minutes Sunday night. Pretty good interview, it ended with Anderson Cooper taking his shirt off and racing him, so well, ya know, it went as expected...
